The trip is also suitable for two people. The driver and tour guide will enthusiastically and professionally introduce the surrounding attractions and cultural customs during the trip. It is a small trip suitable for killing half a day.

In fact, it is a chartered car service that takes you to various scenic spots. The driver is punctual and courteous, and has enough time to take photos and visit. Just speaking from personal preference, these attractions are not very attractive to me. The scenery of Liyu Lake is beautiful, but there is only one lake. Sam's and Starbucks are quite unique. Maybe I visited Taroko before and the natural and spectacular scenery made me feel that these trips were unnecessary. But all in all, if you like to take photos and check in, and take along young and old without driving, it is worth taking this trip.

This trip was 48 SGD per pax for me and my mum. We took the morning trip, and there were 4 locations in the itinerary. This is not a guide at all as advertised but rather a series of taxi rides. The driver, Mr Zeng, was a silent man, and he only talked to us when we arrived at the destination and told us how much time we had. Other than that, there was minimal interaction, and he isn't a warm person to begin with. So, why bring us on a tour? Is he the right fit for this job? I would much rather call a cab to all the 4 locations, and I would have saved a lot more money. 呼叫小黄app is very efficient in Hualien. Uncle Sam's cafe is closed in the morning. We went there for a mere 5 minutes as the area was gated. The last area - container Starbucks area - was a letdown, too. It only had a Starbucks outlet operating from a series of containers and 6 handicraft shops. The purported shopping mall was closed for renovation until 20 June 2023. We stayed there for 10 minutes only. The only saving grace was Mr Zeng offering to drive us to a different location which we wanted - a shop that we wanted to visit. If I had known this trip was scheduled in this way and with almost zero interaction, I would not have booked this half day tour. We would be better off touring Hualien in the various cabs. This tour agency needs to be more forthcoming and proactive in their itinerary planning and selection of drivers.

This time, I participated in the klook half-day tour, which is a scenic spot that I have never been to. The Liyu Lake and the cloud landscape are really beautiful.
