Visit the eternal springs at Changchun Shrine, burrowed into the hillside
Take in the ocean air at Qixingtan and the pebble stone beach or find peace in the tranquil plains of Buluowan tribal village
Inclusive of comfortable coach transportation including hotel pick up and drop off and optional lunch
Take a private day tour to what is arguably Taiwan's most scenic destination, Taroko National Park. Showcasing a diverse range of nature and wildlife: travel from rugged coast, to luscious forest, to the dramatic cliff faces of 19km Taroko Gorge. Delve into the heart of the park at the Swallow Grotto Trail, interspersed with tunnels and the best viewpoint for overlooking the narrowest part of the gorge, where the river is at its most dramatic. After lunch in scenic Tianxiang, you'll visit the Changchung Shrine (or the Eternal Spring Shrine), a beautiful temple nestled within the hillside, atop a waterfall stream that supposedly never stops running (hence the name of the shrine). Before ending at Qixingtan, famed for its pebble beach and fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Okay experience. Driver did not speak English so we had to suffer through the whole day tour in mandarin. We booked the English tour, but when we got there our driver spoke no English. Got compensated with some Klook points. Useless.
The tour was pretty comprehensive. We went for the half day tour and the guide was pretty kind and stopped for us to have lunch halfway. The entire tour was very scenic and ideal for photographs. The only drawback is that there isn't much of an interactive element.
The guide was on time and was patient in explaining the attractions to us. The itinerary was good and i would recommend this tour!
Very entertaining and an awe inspiring journey. Even though its almost a full day trip, there isn't enough time to see everything Taroko Gorge has to offer. If we could have more time to do one of the easier walking trails, I think that would be a great experience. Best regards Nigel
Must go to where the memorial temple and waterfall is. Not sure what it's called but there are 3 temples to hike to. Everyone walks to the 1st temple that sits right above the waterfall. If you have the time and physical capability you should hike up to the 2nd temple...way up high. (Not too hard...my 9 year old son and 73 yr old dad did it) Lots of steps but worth it! Then there is a 3rd large temple or shrine hidden in the back. You have to cross a suspension bridge to get to it. You hear the monks chanting/singing. The view is beautiful. Then there is a easy way back. Bring walkie talkies if you are a big group.
