What To Expect

Take a private day tour to what is arguably Taiwan's most scenic destination, Taroko National Park. Showcasing a diverse range of nature and wildlife: travel from rugged coast, to luscious forest, to the dramatic cliff faces of 19km Taroko Gorge. Delve into the heart of the park at the Swallow Grotto Trail, interspersed with tunnels and the best viewpoint for overlooking the narrowest part of the gorge, where the river is at its most dramatic. After lunch in scenic Tianxiang, you'll visit the Changchung Shrine (or the Eternal Spring Shrine), a beautiful temple nestled within the hillside, atop a waterfall stream that supposedly never stops running (hence the name of the shrine). Before ending at Qixingtan, famed for its pebble beach and fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Overall a very nice trip. The tour guide was friendly and informative. The only two extra places he brought was a jade souvenir shop and a gift shop (which were not on the itinerary given).

Taroko gorge is a very beautiful place. You will be amazed by he beauty of the nature. The tour guide is also kind but he cannot speak in English. There is no wifi in the shuttle bus but we used our own wifi. The installed translator is not that helpful since the tour guide is speaking too fast that the translator cannot pick up. Luckily, one of tourist knows how to speak english so he translates to us the important info that the tour guide is saying like meet up time, etc. I can see that the tour guide is good because the other tourist are laughing. Also, the tour guide showed us so many things like hidden images in the rocks, etc. The tour would have been better if the tour guide knows how to speak english. But overall, we enjoyed the tour:)

Meetup point at the visitor centre was a little further from where we alighted, need to walk out of the train station. However, it was easy to find the visitor centre, and the guide was able to find us there. Had a great guide throughout, who brought us to many places and even helped with taking photographs. Had to miss the Swallows' Grotto Trail as it was closed during the time we went, but the guide made it up to us by bringing us around to other scenic places. Given the small group size, the trip felt very intimate, and the guide made sure everyone felt welcomed. Definitely one of the best trips I've been on!

The tour guide was fantastic, very professional. There were only a handful of people in the tour, the tour was very enjoyable and peaceful. The tour guide also took some fantastic photos!

Great way of experiencing Taroko Gorge. Lunch was yummy too! Asked to be dropped off at the night market cuz our train back to Taipei was much later, and we had a great time. Overall, a great experience!

Highly recommended. This trip is very very good especially to nature lovers. Our tour guide speak little English but very very accomodating and approachable and always smiling. (we were'nt able to get his name ) One of the best Deal/tour package in Hualien.

Excellent trip. The driver was very nice and helpful. Only issue was he didn't speak English. Luckily there was bilingual traveler with us. The views of the trip were breathtaking. The mountains, the gorge, the beach all were amazing.
  • HAN 12 Jan 2019
everything was excellent and tour guide was very friendly and nice. only downside was that he did extra explanation on the history of the locals, architecture, etc, which were not included in the tour but he did not know how to speak English so we had to be his translator for the non Chinese speaking participants in the tour.
