Taipei Taroko Gorge Full-Day Private Tour

Thanks, Jack! We had a wonderful trip. Even though Taroko hasn’t fully reopened yet, it was still so majestic. Our experienced tour guide made the journey truly joyful. We’ll definitely be back once the rest of the park opens up!

We thoroughly enjoyed our excursion to Taroko Gorge with Harry. He made sure we had time to enjoy all of the sights, and we did! The Gorge is gorgeous -- sorry about the bad pun. The icing on the cake was the drive to and from the Gorge. Not only was it beautiful; it had unexpected sights, such as large weekend houses owned by wealthy people from Taipei surrounded by rice paddies. If you want to see Taroko, this is a great way to do it.

It’s quite a long trip from Tapei, 3 hours each way but it is perfectly manageable. We left at 0630, has breakfast on the way at about 0800 and got back our hotel by 1830. The gorge is stunning and we went to some interesting sites and took some great photos. We had a traditional aboriginal lunch - stick rice and pork - delicious. Ted our guide looked after us well - good job.

I loved it! This is definitely the highlight of my Taiwan trip. Aaron speaks English well, is friendly with a sense of humour. He doesn’t rush you, and sets the pace of the tour by gauging your fitness level and interests. It’s also thanks to him that we were able to enjoy the beautiful waters at one of the trials. We won’t know that this location is accessible at all without him as the guide. The water is so clean and cooling~! The trip never felt rushed and we had comfortable rides back and forth the locations. Highly recommended!!

First off, Steven was an amazing tour guide! He was not only caring and tried his hardest to make sure we were having a great time, but also very funny and knowledgable! We really enjoyed our day with him and wish we could have had other tours with him! There is a lot of driving for this tour from Taipei, but the itenerary was set up well where there were breaks, bathrooms, and activities all frequently. The tour stopped about halfway through for lunch at a tourist center and the food was shockingly good! Overall, I would 200% suggest this tour, and I hope you get Steven because he was the man!

Steven, our driver and tour guide, is very nice and accomodating. He made sure we take our time in each place, took nice photos of us and is very respectful. He is very helpful and knowledgable of the place. At the same time, as a family of introverts, he gives us the space we need like giving us enough time to relax and just enjoy the view. Overall, this trip is highly recommended. You will never regret availing this tour. 👌🏽

Frank was friendly, punctual and has good historical knowledge. The trails are just simply amazing and we could take heaps of beautiful photos of the nature beauty of Taiwan. Very impressed and highly recommend this tour, a bit more expensive but worth it.

This wa a very worthwhile trip. Ben drove a Benz 7-seater van to pick us up at the hotel. The car was very comfortable. He can speak Mandarin and English. He was friendly, welcoming and very professional. We were happy to be able to do the round trip from Taipei to Taroko in one day.

To sum it all up, our Taroko Gorge private tour was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Although it was a full day trip covering lots of places, we didn’t feel rushed. Great experience. We were a group of 6, the tour offered a comfortable ride, a great guide his name was Ivan Chen , he was a local of Hualien, very knowledgeable of the places and history, at the same time giving us space to enjoy ourselves. Very recommended!!
