Reviews
This pass is very convenient and has great value to ride JR pass. We just got our pass tocket from Tokyo station and booked seats to Itoigawa and Nagano for the 1st day to get familiar withbJR train and ticket system. We also reserved the ticket between Tokyo and Osaka on the 2nd and last day, which is the main purpose of this pass. Then, we used this pass to travel between Osaka and Kyoto for 2 days, where we ride every half hour express HARUKA
It is great to use this 7 day arch pass to travel between Tokyo and Osaka. I used this pass to visit Itoigawa and Nagano on the first day to get familiar with JR train and ticketing system. Beyond my expectation, I also experienced great food and temple at these two cities. I also took the chance to take Monorail to Tokyo Haneda Airport. Finally, the trip from Tokyo to Osaka yesterday is great with comfortable environment. Even at Osaka, I found this pass can be used to go to Hansai airport and city sites with different lines easily. I plan to use this pass to travel to Kyoto and Kobe next.
Excellent value as the cost is about the same as a round trip ticket from Tokyo to Kanazawa. JR office staff are pleasant and helpful, so no problem with redeeming the pass and making seat reservations. I was not really able to maximize this pass, but I’m sure there will be much more savings if you move around a lot in the Hokuriku area.
easy to use Highly recommended! This JR Hokuriku Arch Pass is absolutely worth the money. I used it for my trip from Tokyo to Toyama, then to Osaka, and back to Tokyo. It also covered local JR lines within the cities, which saved me a lot of extra transport costs. Super convenient and cost-effective!"
We were hesitant at first about this pass. But after reading up previous reviews and other experiences from other people, we finally decided to avail the Hokuriku Arch Pass. And it was so worth it! It also helped that we carefully planned our itinerary. The total expenses from all our train/shinkansen rides (reserved & non-reserved seats) exceeded the price we paid for the pass. Kanazawa, Toyama, Inotani, Nagano, Karuizawa, Ueno, Tokyo, Asakusa, Narita airport (via Narita Express), back to Tokyo, Akihabara then back to Narita (via local train). We used the IC card on some routes around Tokyo that were not covered by the pass. But all in all, we loved it. The exchange order was mailed to our home and was easy to redeem on major JR station office when you arrive in Japan. Seat reservation was easy too both on the machine and in the JR counters.
This pass made our transfers fast. We took the Narita Express to Tokyo and Toyama and return. It also includes JR train like Yamanote Line. Easy to use like a normal ticket
This pass offers the best value for a trip to Japan, entering through Osaka and departing from Tokyo. With this pass, I was able to travel freely by Shinkansen and limited express trains to Osaka, Toyama, Kanazawa, Karuizawa, and Tokyo.
Booking the Hokuriko Arch Pass on Klook was smooth and convenient. The pass was easy to book in the app and I received my voucher 7 days after i booked. i exchanged the voucher at Narita Airport and they gave me the actual pass which i can use unlimited on all JR east/west lines around tokyo and hokuriko region for 7 days. It was also convenient and easy to book Hokuriko shinkansen on our preferred time and date with reserved seats. Totally worth it! The only downside we had was the pass sometimes are not being recognized on some stations, it wont allow us to pass so we needed to go through the manned gate , but other that that no problem. Will still book for sire to explore other areas in Hokuriko..
If the total cost of individual tickets exceeds this amount after planning your itinerary, I sincerely recommend buying this. It's super cost-effective! Although we didn't use it to its full potential in the later days, the fares for the first few trips were already worth it. It's also very easy to exchange at the machine; you'll get the hang of it right away. A great ticket for saving money on train travel in Japan.
Very value for money for traveling back and forth around Hokuriku region, Osaka, Kyoto, Tokyo metropolitan JR lines and trains to Haneda and Narita airport for 7 consecutive days. Frequent trains from Nagano to Tsuruga so it is very convenient if we only want to satisfy food and drinks cravings from the next city and return after a couple of hours! Quick and easy seat reservation process, otherwise if one is in a rush it is also easy to just hop on the non-reserved seat cars. Will deffo get again if I am back in the area.
