Check-in & Baggage

• Complete web check-in or use the MSC for Me app to get your digital boarding pass (QR code).
• Follow the check-in time slot on your cruise ticket; arriving too early may mean waiting, and boarding closes 2 hours before departure.
• Bring all required documents: passport/ID, visas (if applicable), and embarkation form or digital boarding pass.
• Checked luggage: max 2 suitcases per guest (90 × 75 × 43 cm, up to 23 kg each).
• Hand luggage: max 2 pieces per guest (56 × 45 × 25 cm, up to 23 kg each).
• Cabin limit: total luggage not to exceed 100 kg or 8 pieces.
• Pack essentials (clothes, medication, travel documents, valuables) in your hand luggage.
• Checked bags are delivered later to your cabin—usually by evening.
• Fragile or valuable items should be kept with you at all times.

Booking Restrictions & Special Requirements

• All guests must declare any medical conditions at booking and may be asked to complete a Special Needs Form.
• Guests with medical conditions or requiring medical equipment must obtain a doctor’s letter confirming fitness to travel and may need to gain approval from the ship’s doctor.
• Guests with disabilities or reduced mobility must provide full details at booking, bring their own equipment if needed, and MSC may request the Accessibility and Medical Requests Form at least 30 days before departure.

Passports & Visas

• Passports must be valid for at least 6 months post-cruise.
• Guests are solely responsible for obtaining and verifying all required entry/exit visas for their itinerary.

Pregnant Policy

• For the health and safety of both mother and unborn child, MSC Cruises cannot accommodate guests who will be more than 23 weeks and 6 days pregnant at any time during the cruise.
• If you are pregnant but will be less than 23 weeks and 6 days at any point during the cruise, you will need to provide a letter from your obstetrician/gynecologist confirming your expected due date, that your pregnancy is low-risk, and that you are fit to travel without immediate access to specialized obstetric or neonatal care.

Infants & Minors Policy

• For cruises of 11 nights or longer, infants must be at least 24 months old at embarkation (a doctor’s note is recommended for infants under 6 months on shorter cruises), and guests under 18 (under 21 on U.S. sailings) cannot occupy a separate cabin without an adult unless exceptions are approved by MSC, more details here here

Onboard Comfort

• Cabins use European sockets—bring a universal adapter.
• Seas around Okinawa and Taiwan may be choppy—motion-sickness remedies are recommended.
• Spa treatments can often be booked at a discount on port days via the MSC Aurea Spa.

Dining & Halal Dietary Requirements

• Specialty dining (e.g. Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Teppanyaki) can be reserved in advance.
