A lovely experience with very friendly staff. The choices were diverse with a nice array of accessories. Convient location to the castle and gardens. If you wear a larger shoe size you might want to pack a pair of shoes that reflect your style choice.
Both ladies were very patient, the shop was clean, and the location was very convenient, right on the way to Kenrokuen Garden. The kimonos were clean, and the hairstyles were very elaborate.
We had a pleasant time in Kanazawa using kimono rental service from Vasara. They have various selection of good quality kimonos and services were smooth and professional. We love the enthusiasm of the staffs.
The staff were incredibly kind and patient, and very willing to help with kimono styling, including hair accessories, which made for an unforgettable experience for customers. The shop's location is also within the attraction, so you can start taking photos right after getting dressed.
My mom and I had a wonderful time! 100% recommend! This is not our first time wearing kimono, but we were impressed. •🇬🇧English support available. Friendly! •🛄You store your stuff there. Basically, show up in regular clothes and leave them there, and any belongings you don't need for the day. •👛They have matching purses, so don't worry! •🥿They have the geta (sandles), but if you are worried about comfort, your own shoes are fine. Boots or sandals are especially recommended, Japanese ladies wear boots with kimono too! •👘Large selection of various patterns and price points. •🫄I had to wear a tall/large kimono (173cm/5'9"), but they gave me an upgraded accessory for free, and they were very kind about breaking the news to me ❤️🔥 •🎨They will help you choose everything if you're not sure what matches! •🎀The hair styling is quick & really worth it! You can keep your hair like that after! (They keep the accessory though.) •🚻The restrooms are downstairs in the cafe. •⏰From entering to exiting the shop, getting dressed took around 45-60 minutes (depends on crowds), but getting undressed into regular clothes took 10-15.
Great experience with Vasara. I booked at the Kenrokuen location, which was perfectly located for the Kenrokuen Garden and Kanazawa Castle. A nice selection of yukata and the dressing process was seamless and quite fascinating! Loved my hairstyle. I hired a huge umbrella as an add-on and it just added to the photos. Would highly recommend!
It’s our first Kimono experience and we were very satisfied. We reserved a session the night before and went there at 10am. The shop is located close to the Kanazawa station, so 10mn by bus to Higashi Chaya district for taking wonderful photos. There were 2 ladies who were nice and gentle, they helped us chosing the kimonos and dressed us. We initially selected the 1-star kimonos on Klook but weren’t interested in the items in the store so we upgraded to the 2-star ones for around 1500 yen. There was not a large selection overall but the items are well-preserved and priced. The preparation for 2 people would take up to around 30-45mn, of course more time spent on the hair dressing for my wife. The weather was quite cold when we were in Kanzawa and we only wore kimonos outside but honestly it was pretty warm and comfy. We returned back the kimonos at 3pm after wandering and taking many photos at Higashi Shaya, Kenroku garden. Overal great experience, we would highly recommend this shop!
Vasara Kimono Rental gave me an amazing experience. The staff were patient, friendly, and very professional in helping me choose a kimono that suited my style. The dressing process was quick, comfortable, and done with great skill. There were many beautiful kimono designs to choose from, and the hair styling option was totally worth it—simple but elegant, perfect for photos around the city. The location was convenient and close to popular sightseeing spots, making it easy to start exploring immediately after getting dressed. Overall, the service, quality, and experience were excellent. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a smooth, enjoyable kimono rental in Japan!
It is very close to Kanazawa Station. It can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot, but on the day we went there did not seem to be a Chinese-speaking clerk XD, but the clerks were very nice! !! Then in addition to the original cost, there will be an additional 330 yen deposit and 550 yen luggage storage fee. If you want a more advanced kimono, you need to add extra money! But overall it is very cheap, the location and price are also great, recommended! !!
The staff were friendly and professional. They carries so many beautiful kimono and accessories. So it is worth it to buy the more premium plan. We are very happy with their service.
