Okuhida Bus Ticket with Shinhotaka Ropeway

Just show the QR code to the Nohi Bus driver and you can board directly (you'll need internet access to open the screen and see the bus animation). Although the journey to the ropeway station is a bit long (about an hour and a half there, and two and a half hours back) and there are many stops in between, if there are passengers getting on and off at every stop during peak hours, it will take even longer for the round trip. The ropeway has two sections with different schedules, so you need to time it carefully and coordinate with the bus schedule. Overall, while playing in the snow was fun, the need to catch specific bus and ropeway times made the experience a bit rushed and stressful.😓

It's convenient to show your e-ticket on your phone, which saves time buying tickets on-site. The Nohi Bus from Takayama to Shinhotaka has open seating, so it's recommended to arrive early at Platform 5 to queue up. I took the Shinhotaka Ropeway on March 13, 2026, and I was quite lucky to experience snow. Besides taking beautiful photos, I also had a lot of fun playing in the snow! However, my hands got really cold, so I couldn't stay outside for too long.

Great 2 day pass for going to Shin Hotaka from Takayama which includes ropeway return and bus return tickets and we also used it the next day for our bus to Hirayu Onsen. Easy to use and cheaper than buying the pass at Nohi bus center. Highly recommended!!!

When you purchase through Klook, you can directly board the bus at Platform 5 of the Nohi Bus Center. Just show the mobile voucher screen to the bus driver, who will help you select the start date of use. Your phone serves as your ticket. Upon arrival at the Shinhotaka Ropeway Station entrance, proceed to the ticket counter on the second floor to exchange it for a physical ropeway ticket. It's very convenient to use!

It was easy to redeem. No need to go to the counter. The ride was smooth. We went on a ‘bad weather’ which was perfect to catch some falling snow moment. The price was cheaper compared to buying both tickets separately. The ride to shinhotaka was amazing, the first gondola ride was a bit compact but the double decker gondola was amazing

With the Okuhida 2-Day Electronic Ticket, there's no need to exchange it at a counter. Before boarding at the Nohi Bus Center or before getting off at the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway Station (depending on whether the driver checks tickets before boarding or after disembarking), activate the electronic ticket. Show the driver the electronic ticket screen on your phone and inform them of the number of people in your party. For the Shin-Hotaka Ropeway ticket, before riding the ropeway, go to the 2nd-floor counter and have the ticket staff activate the electronic ticket screen on your phone. They will then provide you with the corresponding number of tickets before you queue to ride the ropeway.

very convenient to use. for bus just shows the vocher screen to the driver, for ropeway tickets need to redeem at the counter. prices cheaper compared to buy bus and ropeway tickets separately.

I was worried about this one but it was actually very easy to redeem tickets etc. the bus drivers and ropeway operators were very familiar with the Klook booking app. it was a great day out with spectacular views. would recommend it. stopped off at Osen on way back which was great.
