Reviews
the trip was amazing!!! the cruise itself is very well equipped. we were picked up from hotel then travel to the port. then we go up to the cruise without a all-rounded services. Staffs are professional and friendly. we had an amazing snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. foods and drinks were brilliant. highest recommended!!!
We used the shuttle plan because there were many departure ports. I was surprised at the number of participants, more than I expected. Also, it seems that we arrived at the departure port late, so we could only sit outdoors on the boat. It was hard being outdoors for about 3 hours round trip. The air conditioner was working inside the boat, but it was scorching hot outside. I recommend that those who are planning to participate get a seat on the boat early. The sea was absolutely amazing!
It should be the most mature one among the Outer Great Barrier Reef tours. The only regret is that it rained heavily when I was snorkeling, so the photos I took were not very clear. I will go again next time I have the chance.
Had the most memorable day at the Great Barrier Reef - The crew was friendly and helpful, the lunch buffet was delicious, and the reef itself is a sight to behold. However, do read on to help manage expectations: The pictures on Klook show close-up views of the coral reefs during snorkeling. We snorkeled quite far from the the coral reefs. This is completely understandable (for the protection of coral reefs), but just be aware you won't be swimming right next to them. Scuba diving (an additional cost) might offer a closer look. Also, the semi-submersible coral viewing and underwater observatory weren't quite what the Klook pictures depict. There wasn't a narrated tour and the observatory is smaller with limited views (not a full surround experience). It's still a great option for those who don't want to get wet. Scuba diving and the Oceanwalker experience are fantastic add-ons, but be prepared for the cost (around $198 AUD). Our Oceanwalker experience was a bit shorter than advertised by the crew (10 minutes instead of 20), which was a slight disappointment. It was still an engaging experience with the help of the crew nonetheless - we got a close up experience with the fishes and saw a huge clam on the seabed :) Lunch and reef activities happen concurrently, so plan your time carefully to ensure you experience both! Lunch was great with a wide spread of Western and Asian cuisine and fresh seafood! The Quicksilver crew takes safety seriously - The activity areas were well-marked with clear boundaries, and there were plenty of staff members keeping an eye on everyone. Overall, it was a wonderful day trip, and we recommend it :) Just keep in mind the points above to manage your expectations based on the Klook postings / photos.
highly professional team, good food, great sightings. worth the money. if you are not sure, simply take the sea sickness medication 30mins prior to departure.
Our second time out with Quicksilver and can't fault the staff and the day on the reef, a must do experience.
Very satisfied day! The boat is super large and comfortable when the car is running! All activities are good, and lunch is delicious! The whole family is so satisfied!
Quicksilver Cruise is probably the best Cruise in Great Barrier Reef, however the time for diving and snorkeling is too short. Perhaps they should depart from Port Douglas earlier, so people can have more time for diving
Great tour if you are interested in seeing beautiful coral reefs. Lots of sea life as this tour covers outer reef areas. Air views of coral sea is another great perspective although you need to pay extra to go up the helicopter.
Had an amazing day! The level of care and professionalism really exceeded expectations—staff were constantly checking in to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. The range of activities suited all experience levels, and they even managed to get me into the sea when I normally wouldn’t! Lunch was great too, with a good mix of hot and cold food. Also really appreciated the thoughtful touch of offering seasickness tablets. Highly recommend for a stress-free and memorable reef experience.
