Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium & American Village Tour (Departure from Naha)

Enjoyed the tour, especially the Okinawa Chaurumi Aquarium. 🐟 I can consider it one of the highlights of my trip here in Okinawa. The only bad side is that the tour guide can only speak in Chinese, make sure to book one with an English tour guide so that you will understand what he says. 😅

We spent a wonderful day taking in the sights north of Okinawa with EasyGo's tour guide, Mr Guan (官导游). Fluent in Chinese, Mr Guan was clear in his communications, was very organised and made sure the group was punctual. The highlight of the day tour was Churaumi Aquarium where we had sufficient time to eat an onigiri snack, watch the whale shark swim and to also catch the entertaining dolphin show. The tour covered beautiful nature stops like Kouri beach & Cape Manzamo, and we also stopped at American Village with photoworthy building facades and a promenade.

We were traveling as a couple, and although we saw many tour buses at the meeting point in the morning, it was very clear which bus was ours. We were very satisfied with the itinerary, and we are also very grateful to our tour guide, Lulu. Her explanations about the attractions and history were very clear and interesting, and she also shared stories about her life in Okinawa based on her own experiences. She was also very thoughtful and gentle, reminding us to wear more clothes! Our first stop was Manza Cape, and 30 minutes was a very appropriate and comfortable amount of time. The second stop was Kouri Island, and the ice cream at the milk shop recommended by the tour guide was delicious! Three hours at the aquarium was also just right, with plenty of time to relax and see the dolphin show, gift shop, and large aquarium! Finally, on the way to American Village, the journey was extended due to traffic, but we were able to see American Village at night, which had a great atmosphere! Even though it was January, we could still see a lot of Christmas decorations! Overall, we were very happy with the itinerary and the tour guide we booked this time. It was great value for money!!

Okinawa is vast, and traveling between tourist attractions by public transportation takes a long time waiting for buses, plus the long travel distances. If you're not driving yourself but still want a simple and relaxing way to explore, this tour is a comfortable option. The guide, Ru Ru, loves chatting with everyone, and Chinese is a common language, making for a great overall experience. Basically, this itinerary focuses on the aquarium, with a total duration of three hours, which is sufficient for this destination. However, the time spent at Manza Cape and the other stop is relatively shorter, just enough for taking a photo before getting back on the bus. Please read the prospectus carefully before traveling!

I'm truly grateful for the dedication of both tour guides on this trip. Bao, our guide for the northern itinerary, was incredibly patient and responsible, anticipating the needs of the travelers. He was concerned about us getting rained on and made sure everyone received their meals and tickets. I'm very thankful for his care. Although it rained during this trip, I felt very fulfilled. I also want to express my gratitude to Mu, our guide for the southern itinerary on the second day. He was very dedicated and enthusiastically introduced us to Okinawa. He always had a smile on his face during the journey and was very friendly to the children. He would send messages to remind us of the meeting time upon arrival at each location. I'm truly grateful and very impressed. If I have the opportunity to visit Okinawa again in the future, I will always remember the dedication of these two tour guides. Thank you both.

We got on the bus from the North Exit Station of the County Hall in the morning. The tour guide was from Fuzhou. He introduced Okinawa culture, attractions, etc. along the way. The first stop was Cape Manza, the second stop was Kouri Island, and the third stop was the Churaumi Aquarium. This stop was the longest. Before issuing tickets, the tour guide and the driver distributed rice balls and a can of tea to everyone. It was a pity that the weather was bad and it kept raining that day, but it did not affect the joy of the trip. After the aquarium, the last stop was the American Village. The American Village now sets off fireworks every Saturday at 8 pm, so this one-day tour in the north was specially scheduled for 5/24. If you want to stay in the American Village for a little longer, you can leave the team on the return trip, just remember to tell the tour guide! The American Village at night is really beautiful and it is worth staying until the evening! I also recommend that you book Hanon soufflé pancakes in advance, they are really delicious! I will want to visit again😍

The meeting place is at the county office station. There are many tour buses from other groups at the same time and place. Fortunately, we arrived early, otherwise we couldn't find the place to check in. The check-in place is not very obvious. It is recommended to improve it. There is no advance notice on the order form about which tour group and tour bus we are assigned to, so it takes a while to find the tour leader to complete the check-in. But our tour leader is very good, a female tour guide named Xiaolin, who leads the group very attentively. There are bad group members who don't keep time and are late. The tour guide also severely condemns their behavior. Being late drags everyone down and almost affects our itinerary. Fortunately, we caught up with the dolphin show of the beautiful aquarium. The tour guide is great and did not condone the bad behavior of these selfish latecomers. Thumbs up to Xiaolin. The itinerary is very rich, but each point stays very short, so you can only rush to see the flowers, but it is worth the money. I would like to participate again next time, and I would also like to go to the southern tour itinerary. The Okinawa trip is very interesting and exciting. Thank you.

I took two people in their 60s with me and were satisfied with the itinerary. The weather was good that day! The tour guide introduces Okinawa in detail! The first two locations only last about 30 minutes, so if you go to the bathroom, you have to take a quick look, take a photo, and then leave! Fortunately, every place is really beautiful, and I’m satisfied with whatever I take! The aquarium has three hours to eat lunch on your own, so if you want to explore more, you can grab a snack! The American Village only lasts an hour, and there are so many shops to see. If you don’t want to go shopping, you can just sit on the beach and watch the sunset! The only bad thing about the itinerary was that the meeting point was marked in front of a BLUE SEAL ice cream shop, but that shop had closed and moved to another store without notifying us, so everyone was very unsure about finding the meeting place!

This is a Chinese tour, which I don’t speak but I knew that when I booked it. I chose this tour because it was cheap and the only one with 3 hours at Churaumi. I was quite apprehensive but it turned out to be absolutely amazing ! All timings were respected, the 30 min stops were just the right time as there’s not much to do. It’s amazing to have 3 hours at Churaumi because time flies there !! The guide immediately took care of me and spoke in English, he looked out for me all throughout the trip and even thought of getting different phamphlets for me in English. That was very nice of him !! I ended up being lucky, I met another solo traveler from Shanghai who spoke English and translated everything for me. The guide joked that it was good so he wouldn’t have to translate himself for me. Although, even without this lucky friend I made, he held a very clear sign with the time of departure for each location. It’s very easy to understand when to leave, you only need to remember the bus number. Meet-up point is very easy to find, he had an orange shirt with the « easy go » name, and again everything was perfectly on time. Very nice tour, thank you so much !! I felt bad to enjoy something not made for me, and to give more work to the guide, but it truly was amazing.

we booked this tour last minute not realising it was a Chinese speaking tour (we only speak English), but the tour guide was fantastic and used a translator to share important information with us. The tour was awmazing, and fantastic value for money. We had plenty of time to explore each location and did not feel rushed. Would definitely recommend!
