Kyoto Traditional Knife Crafting Workshop

Ash and Wil guided us perfectly through this knife-making workshop. They demonstrated great knowledge of the technique and were attentive at every step to ensure our knives turned out perfectly. It was a wonderful activity and a lasting memory; now, every day when we cook, Japan will be in our thoughts.

This was an amazing experience and I would 100% recommend to anyone in Kyoto. Rick was so lovely and informative and really made the experience fun, being very clear and patient with instructions. Not only was it a highly enjoyable experience but we also came out with a gorgeous personalised knife after that I'm sure we will use and treasure for life!

By far, best experience in Kyoto. both Knife workshop and chopsticks. Instructors Bekha and Saggie we're very patient and helpful. They were the highlight of the workshop.

this was honestly soooo fun please if you see this review and you’re not sure if it worth it take my word it is it’s amazing Vai and Caner were super nice not just trying to rush you through the experience but they tried to get to know who you were as a person and which made the experience that much more memorable

Patrick, Sayuri & Wil were really helpful. I really enjoyed my time crafting my own knife. It has been one of the highlights of my trip in Kyoto. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and I would go again on my next trip. Thank you again for the nice experience!

mariz and ash where absolutely lovely i was here the day prior for another class and had to come back and so glad i did. i booked the 4pm class and had the both privately great experience for the price and i now have a knife i made that i can keep forever ! highly recommend:)

Today, with the help and guidance of Wil and Mariz, we sharpened two knives. They both did a fantastic job. It was entertaining and very professional at the same time! We had a lot of fun, and it will now remain a wonderful memory of our vacation in Japan. Thank you for that!

Everyone was so nice from the moment we entered. My instructor Malu was very sweet and understanding! she was also very patient. It was such a cool and calming experience! A must try when coming to Japan!
