• The museum is a "hands-on, experiential museum" consisting of seven buildings: Kiln Plaza, Tile Museum, Toilet Museum, Architectural Terracotta Museum, Clay Wokrs, Tiling Workshop, and the LIXIL Ceramics Lab.
• Seasonal flowers and trees create beautiful scenery, and you can relax on tile and brick benches or by the water features.
• The museum shop offers original souvenirs like the “Toilet Mochi” to commemorate your visit, along with items to enrich daily life and books.
• There are also hands-on experiences, including the popular “Shiny Clay Ball Workshop” activity that went viral on social media and tile art workshops. ※Experience activities require an additional fee.

＜Experience the Allure of Clay and Pottery in Tokoname, the City of Ceramics＞ Tokoname is a city with approximately 1,000 years of history as one of Japan’s Six Ancient Kilns and the birthplace of the INAX brand. The site preserves and displays a large kiln, buildings, and chimney constructed during the Taisho era, allowing visitors to feel the passion and spirit of modern ceramic production. (Nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Property / Industrial Heritage of Modernization) Furthermore, the INAX MUSEUMS offers an encounter not only with Tokoname’s pottery but also with ceramic cultures from Japan and around the world. The World Tile Museum is a specialized museum housing over 7,000 decorative tiles from around the world, spanning from prehistoric times to the modern era. Through exhibits connecting the history and culture of clay and ceramics, craftsmanship, and people’s lives, visitors can discover the beauty and cultural value of tiles. Strolling through the grounds allows you to appreciate the changing beauty of nature throughout the seasons. Shopping for tile and pottery-themed items at the museum shop is another highlight of your visit. Unique sweets like mochi shaped like toilets are also popular items.
