Thanks to guide Bae Tae-kwon, I had the trip of a lifetime! He pointed out the best and most affordable restaurants at Karato Market, so I got to enjoy delicious food at places even locals line up for. He also showed us an efficient route from Tanga Market to the arcade and Kokura Castle, allowing us to make the most of our sightseeing. His easy and entertaining explanations of Dazaifu Tenmangu's historical background made it more than just a simple tour. Furthermore, he kindly assisted me with personal hotel matters, which was a huge help since I don't speak Japanese. Despite my initial worries about the rain, it turned out to be a wonderful trip, all thanks to guide Bae Tae-kwon. For anyone visiting Fukuoka, I highly recommend this tour!
This day tour was absolutely amazing! I originally thought that exploring all these spots on my own would be stressful—figuring out transportation, timing, and directions—but this tour made everything effortless. Our guide was super friendly and funny, giving detailed explanations and even help us to communicate with local people. The transport between each spot was smooth and comfortable, saving so much time and energy. From the fish markets to the Dazaifu Tenmangu, we got to fully enjoy every place. Highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants a stress-free, fully organized day out!
This was my first time traveling to Fukuoka, and I decided last minute to join a street food tour. I met my guide and a small group at the Lawson near Hakata Station. Overall, I had so much fun and got to try a wide variety of Japanese foods. My favorite spots were Karato Fish Market and Tanga Market. As a seafood lover, I was in heaven with all the options! Our guide was friendly, caring, and super knowledgeable about all the local ingredients. I was completely satisfied with everything.
It was my first time in Fukuoka and this tour made everything super easy. Our guides Jaewon and Seina were so nice, really friendly and took care of the group the whole way. They also shared fun stories and culture tips which made the trip more interesting. My favorite part was Karato Market, sushi made from seafood caught that morning, you buy by the piece so I can try many different kinds, really tasty! In the evening we walked around the local market, grabbed some snacks, and ended at Dazaifu which was beautiful. The schedule was not too packed, not rushed, just right. Overall a really good experience and worth it.
The Food & Culture tour was both fun and unique. Our tour guide, Taegwon, speaks excellent English and was very informative. I only wish we had been dropped off closer to Kokura Castle, as the walk was quite long and we struggled to find the entrance. By the time we finished lunch and made our way there, it was almost time to return, leaving little opportunity for shopping (which was fine, as I did not find the offerings particularly interesting). Dazaifu Tenmangu, on the other hand, was absolutely beautiful. The surrounding area is filled with charming souvenir shops and small eateries, and I truly wish we had more time to explore it. Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend this tour to anyone. If you can only visit one temple in Fukuoka, make it Dazaifu Tenmangu!
Yoon was very informative and funny. There were just a little time for each location. Also the car park was too far from Mojiko. Not their fault but it wasted 20 mins walk to and from car park.
I was very satisfied because the tour went as described. The sushi at Karato Market was really delicious, and I really liked that there was enough time to enjoy it. I was able to comfortably enjoy the Tanga Market and Dazaifu because the guide was Korean. If you prioritize food, I would recommend this tour.
The seafood was incredibly fresh and the market was full of energy. Our guide made everything easy and fun. It felt like a true local experience. Highly recommend!!
😎Foodie trip with guide Park Je-yeong~~!!! It was so, so great👍 I don't want to go on other tours because I have to go to places I don't want to go, and especially the Karato Market was daunting to go to on my own, but there was exactly the course I wanted, so it's really the best! I was worried because it rained on the tour day, but they flexibly adjusted the schedule to suit the weather, so even in bad weather, my mom and I were able to have a comfortable and fulfilling tour!!! Especially, all the snacks and restaurants they recommended were so, so satisfying (they know their flavors), and I really appreciated the kind guidance when moving or at tourist attractions~! As expected, since they've been in Japan for a long time, it was nice to be able to hear about the genuine local culture and tourist attractions like I was with a Japanese guide who is fluent in Korean ㅠㅠ They are so much fun and have such great manners!!! I think it will be remembered as the best tour😙 It's really awesome, I highly recommend it~!!
I was looking for a unique tour to take from Fukuoka besides Yufuin and stumbled upon this one. It looked fun, so I participated, and I was very satisfied! Jaewon and Seina explained everything so well and led the tour in such an entertaining way that I was a hundred times more satisfied than with previous tours I've taken! The sushi I had at Karato Market was so cost-effective and delicious... It's a tour I would highly recommend to anyone going to Fukuoka!!!
