[About the Fujinomiya route] The Fujinomiya route starts from the highest altitude of the four climbing routes of Mt. Fuji (Fujinomiya 5th Station at an altitude of about 2,400m), so it is the shortest distance to the summit. For this reason, it is the second most popular route after the Yoshida route.
The difference in altitude to the summit is about 1,300m. The climbing trail and descent trail are shared, so there is little risk of getting lost, but it tends to be crowded. Please note that the slope is generally steep and there are many rocky areas, and the elevation increases rapidly compared to other routes, so there is a higher risk of altitude sickness. There are many open views along the route, and if the weather is good, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Suruga Bay. This tour is a self-guided tour.
The morning sun rising above the sea of clouds is a truly mystical sight created by nature, and for many climbers it is a moment that will become a lifelong memory. Climbing Mount Fuji is both a physical challenge and a special experience that brings you face to face with nature. Mt. Fuji, the highest peak in Japan - if you want to climb it at least once in your life, this is the trip that will make that dream come true.
