Hells of Beppu & Yufuin Day Trip

The vehicle is clean and spacious. The guide, while not particularly chatty or didn’t offer to help load the luggages when picking us up, he was helpful to look for my son’s airpod that fell out of his ear. I did find it costly and puzzling to pay extra 14000 yen for extra hours and driving an empty car back to Fukuoka since we changed accomodation to the last destination of that day’s itinerary (nagabetaki fall, kokonoe yume suspension bridge, tadawara wetland, beppu ropeway, Yufuin), so not going back to Fukuoka. I’m unsure if I’m being charged for the time spent by the driver-guide driving back to Fukuoka alone.

great way to explore the kyushu safari and yufuin at our own pace. highly recommend if you are in a group with seniors and less than a 2 year old.

This time, I mainly chose a chartered car to go to Kyushu African Safari. I really recommend chartered cars for family trips. The car ride from Tenjin is two hours, and you can rest well in the car. Chartered cars can enter the Safari area, which is very worthwhile. You can tell that every animal is doing well just by observing its fur. Both adults and children enjoyed watching them. The driver was very nice and recommended a local udon noodle restaurant for lunch, which was delicious and inexpensive. I have purchased chartered car trips on Klook twice, and so far the experiences have been very good 👍

Thank you, driver Mr. Gao, for recommending his secret hot spring to everyone. It was great value for the price, and we had a great time. If you plan to visit Kyushu Natural Animal Park and take the jungle bus, I recommend leaving early to avoid traffic.

It was a satisfying day, from Fukuoka city to the zoo, and then shopping around Lake Kinrin. The only minor issue was that the car, a standard five-seater sedan, felt a bit cramped. We wished the car could have been a little bigger for more comfort. The driver was very dedicated and put in a lot of effort, and we thank him for his thoughtfulness.

There were 4 adults and 2 children in total, and since we had two elderly people with us, we opted for a private chartered car tour. The schedule was flexible, but we ended up spending too much time in Yufuin, as there was so much to see and do! This meant we were super rushed at the last stop, the Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) hot spring. But still, a big thank you to our driver and guide for safely getting us back to the hotel. For groups, I definitely recommend a private chartered car tour – it's fantastic!

For this self-guided trip to Fukuoka, I booked a private car service for 14 people for 2 days. A month before departure, I received an email from the coordinating driver, Vincent, to discuss the itinerary for these 2 days and assist with restaurant recommendations and reservations. Upon arrival, the driver, Xiaobai, took over the service, making our entire trip smooth and enjoyable. Thank you very much. If I have the opportunity next time, I will definitely repurchase this private car service.

Highly recommend this tour! It was convenient and comfortable for my whole family to charter a car. The driver, Xiao Jiang, provided 5-star service – friendly, polite, and a very safe driver. We all had a comfortable ride on the way back and forth. Since we drove into the zoo, Xiao Jiang was very familiar with the best spots, and we were able to see everything clearly. In Yufuin, he recommended an authentic hot spring group's restaurant. All the diners were Japanese. The restaurant was spacious, the food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait for a table. A very happy day trip!
