Sapporo Departure: Lake Toya & Otaru Canal One-Day Bus Tour

Today is my second to last day in Hokkaido. Today I joined Klook's Lake Toya and Otaru day trip. The professionalism of our tour guide, Shishi (西西), made my experience even more luxurious. Tour guide Shishi (西西) tries her best to remember everyone's faces, and she makes an effort to explain everything in detail at each stop, with detailed explanations in both Chinese and English. She also quickly integrates with the guests. During the drives between locations, she also helps us supplement our Hokkaido travel guide knowledge, so we don't have to do any research at all. Just follow Shishi (西西) and you're good to go! This day's experience will make me buy Klook's day trip again, and I hope to join Shishi's (西西) group again. Shishi (西西) is also very thoughtful and responsible, and completely follows the company's regulations. Even when we wanted to leave the group on our own from Otaru to return to Sapporo, Shishi (西西) reminded us of the JR train numbers and times to return to Sapporo, which was very warm. She also followed the company's regulations before letting us leave the group in Otaru. Today's experience really made me feel luxurious, and I look forward to buying Klook's day trip again next time.

This tour was a great way to see some of Hokkaido’s most iconic spots in just one day. The itinerary was well-planned and stress-free, especially for travelers who want to maximize their time without worrying about transportation. Noboribetsu Hell Valley was stunning with its dramatic volcanic scenery and steaming vents — definitely a highlight. Lake Toya was peaceful and offered beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, perfect for photos and a short walk. Otaru was charming, with its historic canal, quaint shops, and food options that gave us time to explore and enjoy the atmosphere. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and clear in explaining each destination, and the transportation was comfortable throughout the trip. While time at each stop was limited, it was enough to enjoy the main attractions and get a good feel of each place. Overall, this tour is highly recommended for first-time visitors to Hokkaido or anyone looking for a convenient, well-organized day trip.

it was an easy and leisurely trip, there's no rush because you'll be given an hour to roam around, it's a whole lot of travel time. Jay is such a chill, knowledgeable guide, the driver was really good at driving.

A bit hard to find the meeting place. Very nice experiencing snow in Otaru. Not enough time to go to bear ranch. Guide allot 1 hour for lunch and bear ranch, so we didnt bother going in. Not enough time to explore.

nice & polite tour guide sophia. due to only small group of ppl joined (8 ppl only), assigned a small coach but clean & quite cozy. provided a map & advice on most efficient way to explore these attractions so in general adequate time to visit. interesting bear feeding experience. easy & comfy access to all these beautiful remote spots in a one go. recommend

The trip was so much fun! The tour guide's introduction was excellent. Although there wasn't enough snow today, the scenery was really beautiful. The bus was also comfortable, so I'll definitely join again next time!😆

Very enjoyable, very satisfied with the tour guide Sisi, explained the various backgrounds of the places to be visited, recommendations and very helpful. It's a bit difficult to eat during the tour, so it's better to prepare food for the whole day. I went with children and a baby, as well as elderly people, it's quite helpful to use a tour like this.

The tour guide/driver was polite and punctual, and we visited all the main attractions. The guide also provided introductions to the attractions in Mandarin. However, the tour was more rushed than expected, and we returned to Sapporo around 5 PM.

Good option if you want to cover multiple places in a day. Tour guide cam speak a few languages, English, Chinese, Cantonese and of course Japanese. He is very friendly. Also provide recommendations on local restaurants nearby Sapporo city. Thank you.

nice tour but it was snowing hard. i love hokkaido and the powdery snow next time i hope there will not be too much snow.
