Reviews
Our tour guide Jack came to pick us up from our hotel. Despite the cloudy drizzly day, my family of 3 really enjoyed the trip to the film park and Zhujiajiao. Jack is very fluent, knowledgeable and patient. We even had lunch at a local restaurant. I would definitely recommend the private tour, a bit costly but well worth it.
A day trip that was great value for money! If you're staying in Shanghai and looking for something to do outside the city, this is a nice experience. The visit to Zhujiajiao especially was beautifully scenic. Our guide was very kind and the itinerary was well planned!
I think the Shanghai Film Park was better than I expected. Quite an interesting experience to see many different dramas and movies setting that I enjoyed in life. Impressive work of the place. The lunch was great. All dishes were delicious and came in wide variations. My family and I enjoyed the boat ride within the Zhujiajiao. Like the vibes of the place.
The tour guides were very accomodating all throughout the tour, especially Ms. Jenny, who was able to explain some of the details that I missed. Thank you very much for your kindness and patience in helping me learn Mandarin.
The private tour was marvelous. The bus driver and tour guide 陈陈 took great care of us throughout the tour. She has great knowledge of the history and sites. She did a great job in planning the time and has fully utilized the time wisely. We enjoyed our whole day with them.
Coach left on time. About an hour bus journey one way. Took longer to return to the meeting place because of traffic jam. The highlight is the 6 seater boat ride, not incuded in the fare. Given about 2.5 hour to walk around on our own. Lots of shops for snacks and souvenirs. Scenic n worth the fare. Booked the standard Chinese tour and it was combined with another group. So we get two tour guides, English and Chinese speaking. Both Jenny and Tan Chen did a good job.
Well planned tour and highly interactive. Bus is new and leaves promptly at 830am on an electric bus with charging ports on board. Spent about 2hrs guided tour at the Film Park before heading for an optional lunch at RMB50 per person with about 10 dishes. Thereafer, head to Zhujiajiao where you have the option to take the boat ride for RMB50 per person or walk the ancient town at your own discretion for about 2hrs before meeting up at the tourist centre at 4pm to head back to Park Hotel drop off point. 陈导 is good in explaining the sights and points to take picture at as well as potential tourist traps. It is a good day tour to experience a different side of Shanghai especially for this price point if you are staying in Jing’an/Nanjing Road area, as the Film Park and Zhujiajiao is about 1.5hrs car ride away.
The itinerary was thoughtfully and excellently planned by our tour guide 陈陈. She was friendly, caring, and always attentive to everyone’s needs throughout the trip. She consistently ensured that everyone was safe, comfortable, and well taken care of, making the journey enjoyable and worry-free for all.
My wife and I signed up for the one day tour to Shanghai Film Park and Zhujiajiao. The tour guide, Chen Hua is a very experience and knowledgeable guide. We were allowed to catch a glimpse of the war torn buildings inside the film park. His lunch recommendation for the group were marvelous, 12 dishes in all! At Zhujiajiao, he briefed us of the things to avoid buying, comparing prices amongst the stores and we were by our own after the boat ride. The whoke day itinerary were relaxed and well paced. my wife and I enjoyed the tour thoroughly.
Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of useful advice throughout the trip, which we really appreciated. They explained the history and local highlights well and gave helpful recommendations. However, the itinerary at Zhujiajiao felt a bit too rushed, and we would have loved more time to explore and enjoy the area at a more relaxed pace. Overall, it was still a good experience thanks to the guide’s expertise and helpfulness.
