Zhujiajiao Water Town Half-Day Tour from Shanghai

What a great day spent in Zhujiaojiao with Tour Guide Yang! The area had beautiful architecture, interesting spots and nice shops going from historical, artsy, for the foodie, and for animal cutees. Yang spoke english very well (and german) and it was just super helpful because there were very limited english in all shops so we went through many areas quickly. He pointed out the "must picture" spots and pointed out the historical as well as culturally distinctive areas and items. This also saved me from trying out food that looked interesting but may give me a lot of regret. It was my first day in China and he also helped set up my payment system so i can use in small shops. Being a private tour, we were not at all in a hurry and made for a very relaxing, souvenir shopping success day!

We got the half day tour. Will arrived ahead of schedule, picked us up at the hotel. Car was spacious, and clean. It was a great tour as Will was well knowledgeable, he even brought us to affordable stores and good restaurants. He also helped us deal with vendors. Quite a fun trip so far! Well recommended :)

Booked a private trip and it was definitely worth the money. The english tour guide was also very nice and very helpful and whenever we want to buy something she would help us bargain. This place is also very beautiful and huge! Lots of shops and food to try.

Mr Yang - legend. Thank you very much for the tour. the half day tour turned into a full day tour due the long weekend holiday. Mr Yang hacked it as a pro and organised a lovely place for lunch. we even used his as our driver later on in the week. The Venice of China was great and was capped off with a great boat ride after lunch.

Overall a pleasant experience on the tour, safe and smooth trip despite some miscomm between the klook system and local operator. Paid a little more for an English speaking guide and was hoping for more explanation on the city in English so my child could understand. Nevertheless the guide was very helpful.

Comfortable transport with good guide - Zhang Sifu (Female). She took good care of senior and arranged lunch for us. We have enjoyed alot!

Our guide, Mr. Huang, was fluent in Japanese, so we had no communication problems. He seemed to guide tours to Zhujiajiao every week, and he knew every nook and cranny, including hidden photo spots and gourmet food. In particular, Mr. Huang's recommended local gourmet food was exquisite. It was a very satisfying tour.

Amazing Zhujiajiao with its canals, little bridges and colored little streets ; locals are friendly and have their houses and shops on the streets ; we enjoyed strolling, local food, coffee and souvenirs ; the city is 1 hour drive from Shanghai..the way back takes longer because of traffic after 5 pm.
