Definitely use this. It's cheaper than buying on-site, unaffected by external changes, and you don't even need to carry it around. Since you're going to Matsuyama, you'll definitely end up visiting the outskirts.

Redemption is very convenient! It is recommended to list out the cost of transportation tickets first, and then calculate whether it makes sense to buy a JR pass. If you are prone to getting on the wrong train or getting off at the wrong station like I am, I still recommend buying one! However, don't go out of your way to visit far-away places just to see how much money you can save with your pass—travel time is very precious 😊
