Čo robiť v Nijō Castle

We had a wonderful time at the Shibori workshop. Yamamoto-san was very friendly and instructive. We got to dye our scarves in 2 colors and had a lot of designs to choose from. The workshop was about an hour long. It was cool to visit the museum upstairs as well.

Aye was an absolutely amazing tour guide at Nijo Castle! He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so many fascinating details about the castle, its history, and features that we never would have noticed on our own. I had previously visited Nijo Castle without a guide, and I can honestly say that this experience was 100% better. I learned so much and walked away with a completely new appreciation for the castle and its history. On top of being an excellent guide, Aye was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. When it started to rain during our tour, he even offered to get umbrellas for us! It was such a kind gesture and really showed how much he cares about the people on his tours. I cannot recommend Aye enough. If you’re visiting Nijo Castle in Kyoto, having him as your guide makes the experience so much more meaningful and memorable. Thank you, Aye, for such a wonderful tour!

This tour was great, very punctual, and they complied 100% with what they offered. My guide "Effy" was super special; she explained everything super clearly, even with slides. Super recommended. Mal som skvelý deň v Kjóte! Itinerár bol výborný a podarilo sa nám toho za jeden deň stihnúť a vidieť naozaj veľa. Všetky aktivity boli úžasné a boli to veci, ktoré som chcel vidieť, a všetko bolo naozaj dobre zorganizované a jednoduché. Išiel som ako sólo cestovateľ a ak hľadáte jednoduchý jednodňový výlet do Kjóta bez stresu z dopravy a vytvárania itinerára, potom tento zájazd vrelo odporúčam!!! Náš sprievodca bol skvelý, super nápomocný a informatívny. Ďakujem :))

We spent an amazing day discovering Kyoto with Ciel, from Kiyomizu-dera to Fushimi Inari and beyond. She kept the whole day flowing effortlessly and made the experience feel unique. Ciel’s English was perfect and her enthusiasm was contagious. She brought a fun, relaxed vibe while still sharing plenty of insights along the way. Highly recommended, thank you Ciel!

We didnt get to see the castle, due to me booking on a tuesday (perhaps worth mentioning on the booking), but visiting the two shrines and the Palace with KC was informative, as well as the drive around. His english was good, he was enthusiastic, and he used humour well throughout.

Tour guide Liu Du provided detailed explanations and excellent service. He also answered questions about travel information quickly and accurately. The tour guides at Gogoday are consistently high quality, and I will definitely join another tour next time. Experience: It was a great experience at the tourist attractions, and it was very comfortable to enjoy the scenery from the bus.

It was great especially for the price paid. The driver only brings you from one location to the next. It is a self-guiided tour which might work perfectly for your group. It did for us as I had kids with me and could not expect to hear from a guide for the entire day. The stops were incredible. Signing up for the tour takes all the logistics to do it yourself out of your hand.

One of the best tours we ever had the privilege to experience. Our tour guide, Nobumasa Miyake, is a fine gentleman who was very engaging and knowledgeable and masterful at enlightening us with the historical facts and culture. His method of storytelling is direct with local lore, humor and personal experience which helped us feel like we are connected to the amazing culture and past of Japan. His empathy for our struggles to stay dry from the heavy rain that was pouring down upon us by offering to switch his large umbrella with our small umbrella is a fine example of his character, integrity and respect for others. In addition, to offering to help take pictures for us, giving away his copy of the map of Kyoto when learning it was our 1st time visiting Kyoto, and suggesting great spots for trying out food, shopping and exploring. We are so grateful to be guided by such an exemplary person and strongly recommend him to be anyone next tour guide! Thank you, Nobumasa Miyake and TripGuru!
