This is our second time choosing Klook's custom tours, and this time we booked a fully customized 6-day trip around Chengdu. The recommended destinations and hotels were completely tailored to our requests. To avoid the biggest crowds during the National Day holiday, we chose Qionglai, a small city west of Chengdu, along with the must-see Dujiangyan Irrigation System and Mount Qingcheng. The overall itinerary was reasonably planned, and whenever we needed temporary adjustments during the trip, Ling'er's team in charge of the itinerary responded very promptly, making our travel experience exceptionally good. Driver Xia Heqian provided full chauffeured service throughout these six days. Driver Xia was extremely punctual and enthusiastic, the vehicle was clean and comfortable with a smooth ride, and he helped us optimize our sightseeing routes for high efficiency, avoiding traffic jams and crowds. He also took us to try very authentic and delicious local specialties, maximizing our travel experience.

My biggest concern was altitude sickness, but the entire trip went well, and I didn't feel anything. This might be because we had oxygen tanks, and for higher altitudes, the travel agency arranged oxygen rooms, which was a really great touch! Itinerary: On the day we explored Daocheng Yading, it's essential to bring an oxygen tank. You'll definitely feel a difference in your heart and lungs, and the climb can still be a bit challenging; however, I thought the scenery was decent. The night sky was truly beautiful, and you could see the stars clearly with the naked eye, no telescope needed. Personally, I prefer Mount Siguniang over Daocheng Yading; the scenery at Mount Siguniang is lusher and more diverse! Driver: The driver was excellent, drove steadily, and had a mild temperament. He was punctual every day and shared interesting local customs and stories with us along the way.

Ambele zone pitorești au fost cu adevărat superbe, merită să-ți iei timp să le admiri. Și, așa cum ne-a promis ghidul nostru 阿朵, acest tur nu a inclus cumpărături forțate. Sfat: luați telecabina până la zona pitorească Huanglong. Face vizita mult mai ușoară, mai ales pentru persoanele în vârstă/persoanele cu mobilitate redusă.

Definitely worth the trip as we had more time at both attractions. View was very beautiful but Bipenggou requires more walking conpare to Siguniang which have big buses pickup/drop off from point to point.

I brought my parents here. Traveling by high-speed rail is much less strenuous for seniors! In the past, it took a whole day just to get to Jiuzhaigou, but now we can leave Chengdu in the morning and arrive at the scenic area by noon. At Huanglong Scenic Area, we took the ropeway up the mountain (80 yuan/person for the ascent) and then slowly walked down to see the Five-Color Ponds. Four hours was plenty of time for the visit. On the second day, the sightseeing bus in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area went directly to the core attractions, covering Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley. We walked about seven to eight thousand steps daily, and my parents weren't tired. Jiuzhaigou in July is lush green, the waterfalls are spectacularly full, and the air is fresh with the scent of plants and streams. Staying two nights at a hotel at the gully entrance meant we didn't have to move our luggage, which was very convenient. My parents enjoyed the Tibetan dinner and even watched a Guozhuang dance. The tour guide didn't enter the scenic area with us, but they explained all the important tips for visiting beforehand, which made the trip quite hassle-free.

This trip to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong was a wonderful experience. The local operator contacted us in advance to collect the first page of our passports for booking high-speed rail tickets and accommodation. The tour guide also reached out the day before departure to confirm details, and the overall arrangement was very well-organized. Special thanks to tour guide Zhang Yue and the driver. Tour Guide: Provided professional and detailed explanations, making the attraction introductions very engaging. Along the way, she thoughtfully reminded us of precautions for altitude sickness, answered all our questions, and was extremely patient. Driver: Excellent driving skills, navigated the mountain roads smoothly, kept the vehicle clean and tidy, and provided very attentive service. Itinerary: Reasonably arranged. Throughout the entire journey, we were carefully looked after by the two of them, making the trip easy and worry-free. It was an unforgettable journey. Five-star rating, highly recommended!

In October, the yellow foliage in Bipenggou is not yet at its peak, but there is a hint of early autumn, and snow can already be seen up on the mountains. Dagu Glacier is completely white now; taking the cable car up feels like stepping straight into winter, and the snow is thick enough to crunch underfoot. Visiting two spots in two days is a bit tight, and by the time I returned to Chengdu on the second day, I went straight back to the hotel and collapsed on the bed, too exhausted to move. However, personally, I feel the overall value for the price is truly fantastic!
