Ranjit - our driver/guide displayed high levels of hospitality. He showed us the Kek Lok Si Temple and Penang Hill. He was very knowledgeable about the places and their history. Arrived at 2:30 PM and were warmly greeted by staff who arranged for our guide, Eric, to start the activity. Since we had only booked the guided tour, the staff informed us that we could add juice and a fruit platter for an additional RM10 per person on the spot. Eric meticulously explained various fruits from around the world, picked fresh fruits from trees for us to taste and experience, and taught us how to select the best fruits in the market. It was an eye-opening experience, and we learned about many fruits we had never seen before. Finally, we couldn't get a Grab car even at 5:00 PM, so the staff helped us out. They close at 5:30 PM, and although it was more expensive, it was better than being stranded on the mountain.😅 It's recommended to call for a car as soon as you arrive or participate in an earlier activity slot.

Our guide Mr Gooi was friendly and attentive. He shared local history and took us to some interesting places like the fishing village, Balik Pulau, the durian plantation for a durian feast, and a car ride through the local scenery. Ideal for those wanting to slow down and enjoy a relaxing pace. Klook tours are reliable and offer good value for money.

Our tour guide, Ricky Ooi, was in close contact with us before our departure. The original itinerary specified meeting at the Dragon City Hotel, but he flexibly arranged for pickup at our hotel in George Town, which was very reassuring. He arrived at the hotel early to brief us on the itinerary and important details, allowing us to reach Penang Hill promptly and catch the first cable car. He even guided us to the best spots inside the car to enjoy the scenery during the ride. He gave us advance tips on each attraction, highlighting their best features, which kept us captivated. The most exciting part was, under his guidance, I witnessed a perfect sunrise for the first time ever. The crimson sun suddenly rose above the horizon, which was breathtaking. As it had just rained the day before, the sky was incredibly clear and adorned with golden, shimmering clouds. Even locals exclaimed they had never seen such a sight, and we even saw a rainbow – truly a rare and fortunate occurrence! We were incredibly lucky to encounter Vicky, a guide with over 30 years of experience. His professionalism was impeccable; he introduced the stories behind each attraction and the best photo spots with great precision. He also catered to our needs, taking us to the Siamese Sister Curry Mee shop, which has received Michelin recognition for two consecutive years, for breakfast, allowing us to savor delicious food. Ricky is very experienced in leading private tours; he understands that clients have their own preferences, so he arranged flexible timings. He first thoroughly introduced the characteristics of the local market, giving us time for free activities, and even treated us to local specialty fried bananas. Finally, when he dropped us back at the hotel, it was not yet 3:00 PM. He leveraged his connections to successfully persuade the hotel to allow us early check-in. The next time I visit Penang, I will definitely seek out Ricky as my private guide. He truly is a five-star guide! I wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone!

Ian, nuestro guía turístico, fue muy informativo, genial y complaciente. Siempre se asegura de que no te sientas solo en el grupo. Te hará sentir que perteneces. Constantemente nos daba la historia del lugar. Este tour DEBE estar en tu lista de tours. Alejarse de la ciudad y sentir el clima fresco. El Monte Kota era impresionante. El puente colgante fue genial y también la Granja Lechera Desa. Queríamos ir a la cafetería en la Granja Desa pero no tuvimos mucho tiempo.

Mr. Ong did an excellent job in making our short trip worth every penny. We communicated ahead that we would be visiting the Habitat, and he agreed. The fast lane ticket made our entire Penang Hill trip smooth. He made special arrangements to drop us off at a nearby food hub. Mr. Ong is easy to get along with, not arrogant nor hot-headed. He is very patient and a very good driver. For a private tour of 3, it was surely a trip to remember.

The tour at the fruit farm is interesting and informative. A pick up truck will take visitors to the farm. We get to sample the fruit enzymes, honey, fruit juice and a small tupperware filled with fruits at the end of the tour.

We were very fortunate to have Mr Eric Ng as our guide: - Eric was very kind to pick us up from our hotel as we were the only guests that morning. - Our first stop was to see the sunrise from the peak of Penang Hill. Though the clouds hid the sunrise from view, it was still a great experience guided by the very humourous and knowledgeable Eric. - We rode the tram, walked around the lush green hills in lovely cool air, saw the Hindu temple & bronze canon etc. while Eric shared about the fascinating history and culture. We even met a handsome kitty on the viewing platform. :) - Next we visited Air Itam morning market to taste some delicious local foods such as curry noodles, char kway teow, roti canai etc. - We also visited the local Kek Lok Si temple. - The last stop was a visit to a local coffee producer for tasing and shopping. I totally recommend Mr Eric Ng as your guide for this very enjoyable tour.
