🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The first time I learned to dive, choosing the Great Barrier Reef was an unforgettable life experience! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Michael was the instructor for my husband and me during our honeymoon trip. We are from Hong Kong. Although we are not native English speakers, Michael was willing to slow down his speaking speed and teach us with patience. We would like to thank him very much. We thoroughly enjoyed this PADI Open Water diving course provided by Pro Dive Cairns and the natural beauty! The first two days were at the training center, and then three days were spent on board. For the first two days, we could order lunch/dine at the restaurant near the training center. From the third day onwards, they provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The experience was incredible and amazing for both of us. The weather in the Great Barrier Reef was very warm and sunny, but it was rainy in Cairns city.
Everything was good, except we couldn't snorkel well the first time we jumped into the sea because we drank a lot of seawater.
Anyway, we will definitely be back to Cairns and choose a boat trip with Pro Dive Cairns again in the not-too-distant future!
My husband and I went to Australia for our honeymoon, and the highlight of this trip was definitely the diving lessons and liveaboard experience at the Great Barrier Reef! The seawater in the Great Barrier Reef is very clear and very salty (don't ask me how I know, haha). The underwater visibility was high, and there were many plump fish, sea cucumbers, sea turtles, and sharks! On the second day, after getting certified, we had one night dive. It was pitch black all around, and we only had a flashlight – very exciting! If you're reading this feedback, I recommend that you should at least know how to swim before signing up, as there's a physical fitness test you need to pass (if you can't swim, you can choose to take other certifications). Only after getting your diving license can you take an underwater camera into the sea to take photos. You can bring your own, rent a GoPro in the city center, or rent one from their center. You can send an email to the center beforehand to inquire about the course details!
During the class, they will talk about recommended items to bring for the liveaboard (the boat can be very rocky, so remember to bring motion sickness medication, digestive aids, medicated oil, etc.). Other items can be stored in the Pro Dive Cairns retail store's storeroom (after disembarking, they will drive you back to pick up your luggage, which is very convenient). A friendly reminder: take motion sickness medication before boarding (you can buy it at supermarkets in Cairns). It's not advisable to eat too much breakfast after boarding. You can wait until the boat has stabilized before eating. I was so afraid of getting seasick and throwing up that I only had a cup of coffee and didn't eat anything! The trip was unforgettable, but I regret not seeing any clownfish. My husband and I plan to definitely return to the Great Barrier Reef to dive again in the future!
Thanks to Klook for making this trip even more wonderful!
Thanks Klook for providing this amazing experience to us!
