Although the weather was cloudy and windy, our guide Xiao Zhou was as friendly as a friend. She thought of us and helped us take photos. Traveling in a small group was a different kind of experience, and chatting and sharing with travelers from various countries created a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We were also very lucky to see snow in Otaru, which made us feel extremely satisfied.

It's very convenient to purchase in advance and redeem physical tickets with the QR code. The night view from the mountain is beautiful and worth a visit.

This review is for our trip to Hakodate instead of Otaru and Noboribetsu. Please refer to my other review and photos for the two cities. Anyway, our driver here was also Leo, who was fluent and excellent in English and also a professional driver. This was a two-day trip with an overnight stay in Hakodate from Sapporo. The first day was rainy, and we had to adjust our plans and itinerary. Thank goodness Leo was very flexible, and he brought us to Goryokaku Park. After that, we went to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses. At first, we thought we couldn't go to see the Hakodate Mountain Observatory, but we decided to do that the next day when the weather improved. We also got to have our breakfast at Hakodate Morning Market. The Hakodate scallop and the hairy crab were delicious! After Hakodate Mountain, we went to the Motomachi Historical District and Hachimanzaka Slope, and before we left Hakodate, we went back to the Red Brick Warehouses and ate at Lucky Pierrot at the pier. We had a safe trip back.

We had an amazing time with this tour package, the pacing/duration of itinerary is just perfect for each location - we didn't feel rushed. Cape Kamui and Cape Shakotan are both breath-taking. Lily is also great, she's very friendly and energetic, and always willing to take the extra mile to make her guests happy, everyone loves her. Thanks Lily, you're such a charming guide.

We had an enjoyable day trip with our guide, Lily. She is helpful and friendly. We had the luxury of having a big and comfortable bus catered to us. Although we don’t know one another in the tour our punctuality is excellent. Thank you Lily once again. We will join the tour again when we have come to Hokkaido.

Our Chinese guide arrived early, and it was fascinating and enjoyable to hear them switch between Chinese, Japanese, and English. This multinational tour, with a small group from China, the Philippines, India, and Korea traveling together in a van, made for a special and memorable experience. The detailed and engaging explanations about Shakotan Blue, Otaru Canal, and Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory kept us entertained throughout the day tour. Shakotan Blue and Cape Kamui, as the northernmost points, offered a breathtaking experience of rugged, majestic, and vast nature. In that moment, all worries and concerns seemed to dissipate. Even as the raindrops grew heavier, the path to the summit was so magnificent that getting wet was no bother at all. The stunning sea, cliffs, and other natural wonders, along with the swaying reed fields—lying down and swaying together with them! Although the weather became windier and rainier, the Otaru Canal was even more picturesque after the rain. It made me wonder if this was what the amazing early modern period felt like—a feeling of stepping back in time, where industry began, a truly romantic city! The guide's emphasis on Otaru as a romantic city was spot on. It was great to have three hours there, and also good that there was a large duty-free shop with a wide selection of gifts. Finally, the Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Factory was a charming, beautiful, and fun place with a strong European flair. The driver was also incredibly kind, which was a plus. I'm grateful to have visited Sapporo and experienced such wonderful outskirts, the pristine sea, reeds, wind, and clouds. I already miss it.

You must take the Showa Shinzan Ropeway; the views of Showa Shinzan and Lake Toya from the mountain are truly unique.

A beautiful trip, Biei Shikisai-no-Oka is like God's palette dropped onto the earth, with vibrant colors spread across the landscape. Coupled with the perfect weather, it was truly refreshing and delightful.
