Passeios por Taichung Old station

There was a problem with the van's air conditioning when we were picked up from the station. Thankfully, the guide dropped us off in Miyahara to change cars. The driver/guide (Mr. Wang) was very friendly and spoke fluent English! We were joined by Japanese tourists in the middle of the tour, and the guide could also speak Japanese! The sunset at Gaomei Wetland was magnificent! We enjoyed this tour very much.

The trip was amazing! Vaness was knowledgeable and accommodating. The trip was smooth with the guide’s driving and explanation throughout. Vaness made the experience so much more enjoyable with his easygoing personality and genuine enthusiasm. The itinerary was well-planned and it didn’t feel rushed; there was ample time to explore the different attractions and enjoy the scenery. The only tiny shortfall was the accommodation at Alishan, which was a little dated, but most of the accommodations around that area are about the same. Overall, I would recommend it if you are looking for a short, well-planned trip out of Taipei.

The tour is primarily for foreign friends, so it's conducted in English. The attraction introductions include some interactive mini-games, which are quite fun! 👍

Shine was an excellent guide. I can tell he is very passionate about sharing his wealth of knowledge about the history of Taichung, especially the buildings. Do this tour if you enjoy learning the history of the place you are visiting that you wouldn’t get just walking around by yourself. The Ubike ride itself was very easy - all flat. I also enjoyed the dessert stops for bubble tea and pineapple green bean taro on ice - excellent on a hot day! Shine also took heaps of photos and edited and sent them to me same day!

We enjoyed this day tour to Taichung where we got a glimpse of central Taiwan. Our guide, Mr. David Harn, fascinated us with stories of his travel adventures and gave us useful information about Taiwan. We even stopped at Chun Shui Tang – considered the birthplace of boba milk tea. Kudos! 👍

The tour guide was very attentive and answered all our questions. It was great that they adjusted the itinerary based on the group's physical condition. It's just that our group had low stamina and talked too much.🤣

It was drizzling during our visit to the Gaomei Wetlands, but it didn’t affect the atmosphere of the trip. Watching the sunset at Gaomei Wetlands was truly a wonderful experience not to be missed when traveling in Taichung. Despite the language barrier, the tour guide that day was very attentive to us throughout the trip.

The journey was very fulfilling and enjoyable. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing ample time to explore each attraction. The hotels were conveniently located close to the sights, offering beautiful views. Our tour guide, Vanness, was very professional, attentive, and thoughtful. At each attraction, he provided detailed explanations of its history and special significance, and also gave us comprehensive information about the routes, photo spots, best viewing locations, and more. He was also very approachable, witty, and humorous. Not only could he flexibly arrange the trip according to our needs, but he also frequently chatted and laughed with us along the way, sharing Taiwan's unique cuisine and local customs in a lively manner, making the journey continuously interesting.
