recommended tour. the basic meal pack consists of a bun, banana and fruit and pepsi. we stopped by 3 photo spots on the way. at zhanglaoshi rest stop, we changed to a smaller car and drove to the halfway house area. then we started the 6.8km hike (3.2km up and 3.6km downhill). the driver is also the tour guide, my tour guide was very professional and helpful. i was inexperienced in hiking mountain paths and needed extra assistance and he was there to assist me on the downhill section. important to note that for people with no hiking experience, the downhill path is rather scary as there are no barriers and the path is filled with rocks. this middle gorge route also does not include the upper gorge, so you won't be able to get the "iconic" tiger gorge photo. pick this route only if you are interested in the experience of hiking haba mountain. the hike takes around 2-3h depending on your speed and experience.

We were awed by the beauty of the landscape and for that to have happened, we greatly appreciated our dedicated guide (阿万 Ah Wan) who had driven us to the scenic locations and helped us with photos along the way. Prior to the trip, the tour operator contacted me about a week before the to verify pick up location and time. They are truly professional and made our day trip memorable.

This one day tour was a great experience for me and my husband - absolutely breathtaking scenery. The itinerary is well planned, with many scenic rest stops to take photos, grab a snack and use the bathroom. Our driver Mr Li was very professional and friendly and made the trip relaxing and enjoyable.

There were two of us in our group. From the moment we placed our order, customer service representative Aurora meticulously arranged and thoroughly explained the itinerary, and she also tailored it to our preferences. This is a cost-effective product that allows you to explore Tiger Leaping Gorge and Shangri-La by car for a day. However, since the tour is conducted in Chinese, it seems only suitable for those who can speak Chinese.

Very nice tour. Not rushed. Just a steady pace for us to savor everything. Best day was the first day where we get to do a light hike and go mushroom picking. The weather was quite hot in the summer but nights were cool. Unfortunately the last day we didn't get to view the sunrise over Meili Mountains due to rain and fog. Anyhow big thanks to our excellent guide YiXiLaMu. Excellent driving and helpful in every way.

The tour provided hiking poles. We walked from where we parked to the Teahorse Inn, then back to the Halfway Inn for lunch, and finally to Longdong Waterfall. Our guide gave us the option to walk to Zhanglaoshi Inn on our own instead of returning the same way to the car, and then picked us up on the main road at the end of the trail. It was a 12.7km hike in total, but the terrain was easy and beginner-friendly. The guide took many photos of us and sent them almost immediately via WeChat. The driving on the mountain roads was very safe.
