Excursão de um dia pela Garganta do Salto do Tigre em Lijiang

The tour provided hiking poles. We walked from where we parked to the Teahorse Inn, then back to the Halfway Inn for lunch, and finally to Longdong Waterfall. Our guide gave us the option to walk to Zhanglaoshi Inn on our own instead of returning the same way to the car, and then picked us up on the main road at the end of the trail. It was a 12.7km hike in total, but the terrain was easy and beginner-friendly. The guide took many photos of us and sent them almost immediately via WeChat. The driving on the mountain roads was very safe.

This activity was very awesome! So glad we booked this activity. We hiked twice – first was along a ridge at Haba Snow Mountain overlooking Jade Snow Mountain (the back part, which is why no snow was visible), and the second was after lunch at Tiger Leaping Gorge. The hiking was easy to moderate, depending on the person. Easy because Haba Snow Mountain was 8km but relatively flat, not many dirt tracks. We stopped for a quick morning snack at this cafe facing Jade Snow Mountain. It was so beautiful! The next hike was after lunch; hiking down Tiger Leaping Gorge was easy, but climbing back up involved a lot of steps, which is always harder for me, so I had to stop every now and then to breathe. There was the option to take a ladder up, about 3-storeys high, but we still opted to take the same path so that we could rest whenever we wanted to. It was a 1.5km climb down and a 1.5km climb up. That day the weather was not cold. The sun was very bright from noon onwards, so it was nice that we hiked Haba Snow Mountain first. Our tour guide was great too; he took lots of beautiful pictures of us. On the way back, we stopped along a road to buy some apples and peaches. Those were juicy and sweet, a must-buy! Will definitely be doing this again.

Our guide Adong was a warm and friendly guide who made our experience so pleasant. He took time to tell us more about Yunnan, and made an effort to get to know us too. He was accommodating to our needs, and was intentional in taking many great shots of us along the way too! Would totally recommend his service to anyone who wants to join this tour in future.

An easy route (hilly towards the end as you go downhill) that provides you with gorgeous views of the gorge!

In the morning, the tour guide picked me up from the hotel. Before the large tour buses arrived at Tiger Leaping Gorge, he first took me to the Middle Tiger Leaping Gorge to see the most captivating canyon and rapids. Since there were no crowds, I was able to take many photos. Afterwards, I climbed the 168-step 'Brave's Ladder' and returned to Teacher Zhang's Guesthouse (reception center) for a relaxing and comfortable lunch. Finally, I saw the waterfall before heading back. Along the way, there were beautiful sights, challenges, and enjoyment; I was truly satisfied. The tour guide's arrangements were very thoughtful, and he constantly attended to the needs of the group members. He even proactively took many beautiful photos and videos for us during the trip, which he shared with us during breaks. It was a highly cost-effective journey.

A big thanks to our guide- 和师傅 for being so flexible and showing us around. we were thankful that he picked us up from our hotel though it’s quite far from town (we stayed near Baisha), and he is punctual. We took a longer time to have coffee and lunch but he was waiting for us patiently to let us enjoy our meals. I would definitely recommend him! :)

I was hesitant to book this tour initially due to the limited number of reviews (only 3 at the time). I'm glad I went ahead with the booking. It was a pleasant experience with amazing views, and it wasn't as difficult as I had imagined. We even saw elderly people on the way. The tour guide was very helpful and friendly.
