It was an excellent tour experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating stories throughout. Even when it started raining, he continued without interruption and completed the entire explanation on time. After his briefing, we had plenty of time to explore the castle on our own. The castle itself was huge and beautiful — definitely a must-visit.

For those prone to motion sickness, I recommend bringing motion sickness medication. It's a shame to miss out on the scenery due to severe motion sickness, forcing me to sleep the whole time. I was a bit worried that the Isle of Skye in February would be too bleak, but it was incredibly beautiful and not too cold, though very windy with sudden heavy rain. Remember to bring a windproof and waterproof jacket. Most shops in Portree are closed on Sundays, which was a bit disappointing as it was the second day of the trip and there weren't many places to browse. Also, I couldn't find a pharmacy to buy medicine when I felt unwell. Aside from my motion sickness causing me to miss a lot, overall, I highly recommend it!

Engaging guide who injected both history and humour in equal measure in her talk. The ticket is for single entry so it’s recommended that you stay on within the castle compounds after the tour to explore the 13 museums. Area is small so tour groups aren’t allowed unless it’s an open area.

The tour guide was excellent, very enthusiastic, and explained everything in great detail. Although it rained, the arrangements were very reasonable. The Highland scenery was spectacular and breathtaking, definitely worth visiting again.
