During my 3-night, 4-day trip to Fukuoka with my mom, I was looking for activities on our third day, which was entirely dedicated to Tenjin. I found a yukata/kimono experience and decided to sign up! I initially considered a kimono, but since it was June 1st, they switched to yukatas. It's definitely hot in Japan, so I think the slightly thinner yukata was a better choice. I booked the first slot at 9 AM and arrived a little early, about five minutes before, but they said the doors wouldn't open until exactly 9 AM, haha. So, while waiting, I saw a sign on the door advising to use the restroom beforehand, which I did. We then entered a little after 9 AM when they opened. I chose the Premium Deluxe Plan, and for the yukata, I picked from the Premium and 'One Star' options. Surprisingly, the 'One Star' ones seemed a bit prettier, so my mom and I each chose one from there. For hair, as per blog reviews, 'Two Star' options were available. I had already looked at some styles, so I went with 'Two Star' option #1. Since we were among the first three groups, we quickly put on the white inner garment, and then they did our hair. It was a braided style pulled to the side, and they asked which side I preferred, so I asked for the left. My hair turned out so incredibly beautiful that I was extremely satisfied. After the hair was done, we could choose hair ornaments. There were some free, round, candy-like ones, and then some prettier flower ones that cost an additional 500 yen. I just went with the free round one, haha. Still, I was satisfied! They also fitted the yukata well to my height, and for bags, the free options weren't particularly pretty, just plain, so I didn't pay extra. For shoes, I would have worn wooden clogs if they had been a bit softer, but they were completely hard wood, so we just wore our sneakers and walked around, making sure our feet weren't visible in photos. Also, it was so hot that we were going to use our own parasols, but then we thought, 'Since we're doing this, let's use theirs!' so we rented one for 500 yen, and I'm satisfied with it, haha. It matched the outfit so well and looked great in photos! We started at 9 AM, and after everything, we finished around 10 AM. We didn't plan on wearing it for too long, so we returned it before 12 PM. The photos turned out so pretty, and it was such a unique experience! I highly recommend it! 👍🏻

Although booking two weeks in advance via a lottery system might make one think it would be packed, upon arrival, we found the crowd control to be excellent. There was no pressure from crowded queues, making the sightseeing experience very comfortable. While Fukuoka Tower may not be the tallest building we've ever conquered, standing in this glass tower, the panoramic views are truly on par with any famous landmark. Sunlight glistens on the distant sea, city buildings, and elevated bridges, while nearby, lush green trees, coupled with magnificent cumulonimbus clouds, offer a breathtaking view of the entire city of Fukuoka, which is truly refreshing. Visiting the tallest building in every new city is a travel tradition my child and I have always maintained. This time at Fukuoka Tower, watching him excitedly stride across the giant floor-to-ceiling windows, I felt this habit added another beautiful parent-child memory. If you're planning a trip to Fukuoka, I highly recommend including Fukuoka Tower in your itinerary. Remember to make reservations online in advance (it's a lottery system). Good scenery is worth waiting for, and even more so, worth experiencing in person.

Great facilities and staff could actually communicate in English! We managed to tag along an English group during the firefighter job. it was so good to understand every word from the beginning to the end. Staff were very patient and energetic. We happened to go in my daughter’s birthday month. Staff at different jobs would write on her birthday card. It was a sweet and special experience. Make sure you go early to get a number card for entry. The earlier you get in, the easier to secure jobs you like. We went for the 2nd session and my kids could experience 4 to 5 different jobs.

I applied for this tour because it allowed me to thoroughly explore Karato Market, Mojiko, Kokura Castle, and Dazaifu all in one day during my Fukuoka trip! I was even more pleased that it was a tour I could join as a solo traveler, as I was traveling alone 😊. When I actually went, I found there were more families and couples than I expected! At first, I was worried it might be a bit awkward being alone, but once I participated, it wasn't uncomfortable at all, haha. I think solo travelers can join without any hesitation. It was really fun to pick and eat various sushi at Karato Market 🍣. There were so many kinds, which made choosing what to eat enjoyable, and I could truly experience the atmosphere of a local Japanese market. Mojiko had such a beautiful retro atmosphere! In particular, the guide personally took photos for me in front of the banana statue, which I was really grateful for as a solo traveler 📸. When you travel alone, it's surprisingly difficult to get good photos even in beautiful places, but thanks to the guide, I was able to capture proper souvenir photos of my trip, haha. Kokura Castle and Dazaifu were also included in the itinerary, allowing me to see major tourist attractions all at once, and I also liked that I could shop at Don Quijote! When traveling in Japan, there are so many things I want to buy, and not having to carry my shopping bags around meant I could comfortably enjoy the rest of my itinerary 🛍️. Finally, being able to explore Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine allowed me to fully immerse myself in the atmosphere of a Japanese trip ⛩️. If I had tried to visit multiple places by public transport alone, it would have been cumbersome to move around and difficult to plan the itinerary. But with the tour, I could comfortably visit many places. Having a Korean-speaking guide also made it easy to understand the explanations! Joining alone wasn't burdensome at all, and it was even more fun than I expected. Next time, I'd like to try it again with my friends as a group~! 🥰 I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to enjoy a fulfilling day trip to the outskirts of Fukuoka! 🇯🇵🍣✨
