What to bring: drinks and snacks, waterproof shoes, waterproof jacket, umbrella, hat, phone cross-body strap, backpack, wet wipes. We went on a small tour with 11 people with our Alpan guide. It started at 8 AM and ended at 1:30 PM. Don't go to the Snow Wall first; go to the pond first and walk as far as you can. The Snow Wall can be seen completely in about 25 minutes round trip. You can see the melted pond, the hot springs in the distance, and if you're lucky, even the mascot bird. The bird poses well, so you can comfortably take photos. Although it was a quick tour, like roasting beans over a flash fire, I'm satisfied. Next time, I'm personally thinking of going again in the upcoming winter season. Alpan guide is the best. If you get assigned an Alpan guide, your trip will be comfortable.

The tour guide for this group is from Hong Kong. Sheila, our guide, is a very thoughtful person. She reminded us that the journey would be long and advised us to prepare food from a convenience store to eat when hungry. The trip was very comfortable, and the tour bus was spacious with plenty of room, so it didn't feel crowded. Every 2 to 3 hours, there was a rest stop where we could buy food and use the restroom. The first day's itinerary was Kamikochi, and it was very well-arranged; we visited all the planned attractions. The weather that day was excellent, neither too hot nor too cold. Kamikochi's scenery is beautiful and well worth a visit; I recommend it to everyone. The first night's hotel was a hot spring ryokan in Hakuba Onsen. The buffet was delicious, and the food selection was abundant. The second day's itinerary was Tateyama Kurobe, but unfortunately, the weather was bad, and the Snow Valley was closed, which gives us a reason to visit again. We returned to Tokyo around 7 PM after the trip concluded. Guide Sheila also recommended some good restaurants to try in Tokyo. We followed her advice and went to a beef tongue restaurant, which was quite tasty. Many thanks to our guide for giving us such an enjoyable two-day, one-night trip.

The itinerary is rich and the timing is well-arranged. Itinerary: The first day involves a relaxed 3-hour hike, followed by a buffet dinner and hot spring bath at the hotel. It is recommended to set aside time to eat something near Kappa Bridge. The second day mainly consists of taking various modes of transport on the mountain and enjoying the scenery. The entire trip was comfortable and easy to complete. Accommodation: We were arranged to stay at the Hakuba Tokyu Resort, a hot spring hotel. It's a bit old but comfortable, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Tour Guide: The only minor drawback was that the tour guide didn't pay much attention to the guests, and communication could be improved. Meeting point communication was not detailed or was changed arbitrarily; for example, several times we were told to wait at the shop entrance but the guide himself went directly to the tour bus.

This completely shattered the stereotype that "group tour meals aren't good"! What was most touching was Joe's humor, wit, and meticulous care. He continuously explained local history and culture to us along the way and was incredibly patient and accommodating with all sorts of unexpected requests from group members. Thank you, Joe, for giving our entire family such a perfect Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route trip! If we book another tour in the future, we definitely want to request Joe as our guide again! 💯👍
