It's not a full 360-degree view, but you can see all the main sights. There's a spot on the first floor and also upstairs. It's a great place to buy a lemon drink and relax until evening. For the night view, you can go up when the bar is open, but I didn't. It's quite high up, so the breeze was refreshing, but the metal bars make it a bit difficult to take good photos. Still, it's a nice place to relax while looking at Hiroshima city. If you choose the origami option, you can go down one floor to fold a paper crane and drop it, and they'll even take a photo for you if you hand them your phone.
I only learned about this building on the day I visited Hiroshima. It was easy to purchase tickets via KLOOK and then redeem them at the counter. It's a super cool and spacious observatory building with a bird's-eye view of Hiroshima. I love the slopes where you can sit and relax. Very unique! There's an activity to fold a paper crane to add to the tall 'collection bin' where you can see thousands of them on the building's exterior; it's beautiful! Then, there's a super fun slide that takes you down to every level, all the way to the first! On every floor, there's massive wall art that you can take your time to appreciate. The souvenir shop is fun to browse!
Recomendo vivamente a visita.
I recommend purchasing the Klook package, which includes the Kansai-Hiroshima JR Pass and two additional tickets. Choosing the Orizuru Tower for one of the days is very cost-effective (the Orizuru Tower ticket itself costs ¥2200). The rooftop observation deck is absolutely beautiful! The view is excellent, and you can comfortably sit on the steps to admire the Hiroshima scenery. On the 12th floor, you can fold paper cranes for ¥100 and place them into the large paper crane wall, which is visible from the outside. When going down, you can stroll and admire the artwork on each floor, or you can choose to use the slide (you need to sign a consent form on the 12th floor). The slide is also a lot of fun; each floor is separate, so you can decide how many times you want to go down.
Loved the view! Great place to watch the sunset + we had fun doing origami and actually have that piece of use became part of the building. It was very memorable. Hiroshima was so good!
The tower on the corner of the memorial square is a must-visit. You can see the city panorama like from no other place. It is healing after paying respect to the city with a visit to the memorial. You can also make a bird of peace with your own hands, using origami technique, and drop it into the memory well. A special compartment is built into the tower. Your own little piece of acknowledgment.
This attraction has a very meaningful concept which involves having visitors fold a paper crane and dropping it into a part of the tower which can be seen from the front of the building. They have a goal they wish to achieve and I’m glad to be part of the contribution. The view above is amazing regardless of the time you visit.
I didn't expect the interior of this building to be this good in personal. Pictures don't do justice. The observatory feels so free and open to the outside almost like having a 270 degree panoramic view of the city from above. Half of the building footprint is just dedicated to access which composed of stairs, ramp, and a slide which anyone is free to use. Definitely worth a visit.
