I searched for a long time for a rental for my wife and me, read many reviews for various providers where people were not satisfied - with this rental, I can absolutely not find anything negative to say and can only warmly recommend it! The staff was extremely friendly and the selection was very diverse (I can only emphasize that the surcharge for the more expensive kimonos is really worth it in combination with the photo shoot). We are thoroughly impressed and will recommend it to all our friends who want to rent a kimono in Kyoto! Thank you very much!!

We had a wonderful time, both during the preparations and the photoshoot. Kimono Fusengawa offers beautiful kimonos with a wide selection, and the hairstyle was done with great expertise. It was the best experience we had during our Osaka & Kyoto trip. This package (Couple kimono) is definitely hassle-free as it allows us to choose our preferred outfit (within specific simplified designs) from their range, and it also comes with basic hair styling. I did my own basic makeup during the shoot, which was quite sufficient for the shoot. The outlet assistants were gracious and polite, helping us with our outfits. The outlet also assigned a good photographer, Steven Lou. (If you are looking for a Chinese speaker, he conversed well.) He was great and had excellent skills too. He was able to communicate well to provide guidance on our shoot.

We really had a good time using their service, from the friendly staff who accommodated us to the photographer! Plus, the photos came out so great! We highly recommend them for kimono rental and photography.

The staff in the kimono shop will all greet you warmly and they are very helpful! Aside from wonderful kimonos, they will create beautiful and intricate hairstyles to match your outfit. The accessories have plenty of choices and are really pretty. The makeup is really good, simple and beautiful! They even helped us flag down a taxi after leaving the shop. Super nice! Would definitely recommend this shop. High quality kimono and high quality makeup and hair.

The staff in the shop are all very friendly and professional. They made us feel comfortable while changing into the kimono. They have a vast selection of good quality kimonos. It was a fun experience walking around Gion in kimono.

Amazing, super friendly, respectful and super professional. Let us in 10 minutes early when we arrived. Worked on us right away to have more time to make our photoshoot appointment early in the day. There are so many options for Kimonos and hakamas, Quality over quantity for sure.
