I searched for a long time for a rental for my wife and me, read many reviews for various providers where people were not satisfied - with this rental, I can absolutely not find anything negative to say and can only warmly recommend it! The staff was extremely friendly and the selection was very diverse (I can only emphasize that the surcharge for the more expensive kimonos is really worth it in combination with the photo shoot). We are thoroughly impressed and will recommend it to all our friends who want to rent a kimono in Kyoto! Thank you very much!!

We had a wonderful time, both during the preparations and the photoshoot. Kimono Fusengawa offers beautiful kimonos with a wide selection, and the hairstyle was done with great expertise. Our photographer guided us well during the session, and we are delighted with the result! We wholeheartedly recommend them; the staff is lovely and very attentive!

It was the best experience we had during our Osaka & Kyoto trip. This package (Couple kimono) is definitely hassle-free as it allows us to choose our preferred outfit (within specific simplified designs) from their range, and it also comes with basic hair styling. I did my own basic makeup during the shoot, which was quite sufficient for the shoot. The outlet assistants were gracious and polite, helping us with our outfits. The outlet also assigned a good photographer, Steven Lou. (If you are looking for a Chinese speaker, he conversed well.) He was great and had excellent skills too. He was able to communicate well to provide guidance on our shoot.

An incredible experience! We chose the couple's kimono experience with a photoshoot. I had my makeup and hair done by the team, who did an amazing job. Amazing, super friendly, respectful and super professional. Let us in 10 minutes early when we arrived. Worked on us right away to have more time to make our photoshoot appointment early in the day. There are so many options for Kimonos and hakamas, Quality over quantity for sure.

It was a very professional service. The store was lovely and there were lots of high quality kimonos to choose from. The ladies styled my hair and added hair accessories. I was very impressed with the lady that dressed me, very professional and thorough. I love the kimono I got to wear and I felt very beautiful. The shop is close to a lot of beautiful locations.
