The Moorish Castle is magnificent both from afar and up close, offering excellent views from the top. It's definitely worth a visit. Booking tickets in advance on Klook allows for direct entry by simply showing your scan, which is very convenient.

Fabulous trip up to the Moorish Castle and one of the highest points in Sintra. Lovely view. We walked up from the historic centre with younger children which took about 50 minutes but they really enjoyed the adventure (although could be a bit far to walk for some - buses, tuk tuk and taxis on offer if not). Highly recommend!

When I went, one section was under renovation, but the overall scenery was truly beautiful, somewhat resembling the Great Wall. You need to be careful when walking as there are no handrails, but it's great for photos! The wind can be strong at times, so be careful your hat doesn't fly away!

I arrived at around 12:00pm. Smooth entry with this pre-paid ticket. It’s valuable to visit this historical castle. I stayed here for about 1 hour.

What an incredibly interesting experience! It's absolutely worth it. The exposed city walls here are towering and majestic, truly breathtaking! So impressive! Highly recommend!

Worth going to, but it's a bit confusing once you're inside. There are a bunch of unmarked paths winding through the castle area. It would be nice if there were signs and or maps posted at various points on the Castle grounds. download a map of the area before you go.

There is a lot of hiking up the remnants of the castle, which gives you an impeccable view of the horizon.

Climbing over the city walls is a great experience. Along the way, you can see special plants, and there are telescopes to view the scenery. The mountain air is cool, but the sun is strong, so remember to protect yourself from the sun and stay hydrated :)
