Show de fado em Lisboa com vinho do Porto

Exactly 10 minutes before opening, we entered, each with a glass of wine, and sat down. A video played first, then two guitarists appeared, followed by a female and a male singer who performed individually, and finally, they sang together. Videos played intermittently, which was a nice touch. The male singer, in particular, was very good! We enjoyed the show very much! ^^

Initially, it was just a projector playing a fado video, so I thought I had been scammed. However, these lovely guitarists then presented one singer after another! They took turns singing, even performing duets, and involved the crowd! It was a lovely experience, with educational videos playing in between to explain the craft. It's not traditional, more tourist-oriented, but overall I would recommend it!

It was a unique experience that truly let me immerse myself in Portugal and its culture. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.

It is an activity for the tourists. So, on top of listening to the fado songs, there were some video clips to know more about Fado and interactive section to sing fado with the singers. In conclusion, we were happy to be there.

The first time I learned that Lisbon has flowers, it turned out to be a Portuguese cultural tradition. That day, everyone received a glass of wine, and then sat down to wait for the performance. During the show, the performers taught us to sing in Portuguese, making it very interactive.

When coming to a performance, it's really important to confirm the location first and make sure you don't go to the wrong place. Directly across from it are the Metro Baixa-Chiado exit and a shopping center, which makes for a much easier landmark to find. Admission usually opens about 10 minutes before the performance. Seating inside is free-for-all, with no assigned seats, so it's recommended to go in early to pick a good spot with a nice view. After entering, everyone can choose a glass of port wine or orange juice, making for a very pleasant experience while listening. During the performance, a video introducing the history of Fado is played, with English narration and Portuguese subtitles. The singers and hosts also primarily speak English, giving the impression that the audience is mainly foreign tourists. Although the performance space isn't large, the atmosphere is created exceptionally well, and the performers are very engaging. The only slight drawback is that there are no related souvenirs sold on-site. Overall, it's still highly recommended to include this in your Lisbon itinerary!

The Port wine was good, and I loved how the singer and guitarist seemed to become one, enjoying their performance. It was also fun singing along with everyone. I learned that all the songs, whether slow or fast, were Fado, which was great. It was a memorable time.
