Experiência de Pesca no Gelo na Lapônia saindo de Rovaniemi

Among all the tours I’ve had in Rovaniemi over the past few days, this one was my favorite. Unfortunately, the snow on the lake today wasn’t thick enough and wasn’t safe to walk on, so we tried our luck fishing from a small jetty near the shore. Too bad we didn’t catch anything. But! Diana, our tour guide, cooked us the best BBQ salmon ever – even better than the one in Santa Claus Village 😋. We also took a walk in the wilderness and learned a few things about the Sami cup and the tree from which it’s made, which was really interesting. A big thank you to our guide Diana M, Gilles, and Eva – I had a blast ❤️.

This tour involved ice fishing on a frozen lake, experiencing ice chiseling, but I didn't hear much about the knowledge or traditions of ice fishing in Lapland. I wasn't sure if there was a chance to catch fish; it might have been too cold, as people weren't very focused on fishing and mostly went to the fire to warm up. Afterwards, the guide prepared grilled salmon, gingerbread, marshmallows, black bread, and blueberry juice. Unfortunately, the blueberry juice wasn't hot enough, but the salmon was delicious. Finally, the guide took us for a walk in the forest, introducing some of the trees, which was very interesting, but it was truly too cold. When booking the tour, the information section noted that overalls, gloves, and shoes would be provided, but no one asked if we needed them, which is why I deducted half a star. The other half-star deduction is because I didn't hear more introductions about ice fishing or information about actually being able to catch fish.

Jack was a great guide! It was a wonderful experience.

It took us about 20 minutes to drill a hole, and the success rate of catching a fish is like once a month. But, it's still worth it. Julia is a really good guide - approachable and helped me take a lot of photos and videos.

Fun experience, I got no luck on fishing but the BBQ salmon was good

Minun ensimmäinen kalani Lapissa!!!! Oli upea kokemus kalastaa järvellä. Vaikka se oli ainoa kala, jonka sain, matka oli silti kokeilemisen arvoinen.

I enjoyed the ice fishing experience. We tried to make the fishing hole on the ice and it was really fun! Lunch and a little forest walk were included. It added a lot of value to the tour. Although our guide Vienna was not very experienced, she did try her best to do it.

The guides took good care of us, and we got to spend some time on the frozen lake ice fishing! The salmon at the end of the trip was super tasty!

🤣 Super last-minute booking, but there weren't enough people to form a group. The travel company was very responsible, informing us immediately via WhatsApp and issuing a refund.

Gemengd. Het inchecken was chaotisch. Ik miste de tour bijna, hoewel ik al 15 minuten voor de tour zat te wachten. De gids haalde de namen door elkaar en dacht dat ik al ingecheckt was. Gelukkig vroeg ik ernaar. Het ijsvissen leek meer op een ervaring dan op echt vissen. Maar de aangeboden zalm was echt een delicatesse.
