We were sent the wrong meeting timing, which we understood is a constant occurrence from Klooks end. Would have been nice to receive some form of communication a couple of days before the tour. We were otherwise had to just hope somebody will show up at one point. Other than that, the tour was fun and it went well! Not all dogs were huskies so that’s something to take note.

There was no clear emphasis on the fact that it was a join-in tour, that there was a much earlier mandatory meeting time, or that missing it would make the experience impossible. The actual meeting time of 12:40 PM was only subtly noted at the bottom of an email sent several months ago, and there were no reminders the day before or on the day of the tour. Since we had received clear re-notifications of meeting times for another aurora tour we participated in the day before, it was natural for us to expect similar guidance for this tour. Upon arrival at the site, we were informed that the experience had already concluded, and the operator repeatedly stated that a refund was not possible, deeming it 100% customer fault. There was no review of potential communication shortcomings or confusion, nor any expression of regret. For time-sensitive experiences, clear and repeated guidance is essential. This tour was supposed to be the highlight of our honeymoon, but it ended up being the most disappointing memory. We strongly advise future users to confirm details directly with the operator multiple times and urge Safartica to improve its communication.
