Great spot to catch the pink moss, actually pink flowers with Mount Fuji in the background. The car park was about 300 m away. The pink flowers were in full bloom and there was also a Peter Rabbit garden. There was a souvenir shop and many stalls selling beef cubes, hotdogs etc. Overall one can spend about 1-2 hours here.

The trip went smoothly, and the driver was polite and friendly. Although Mount Fuji was covered with clouds and the flowers were not yet blooming, it was a very pleasant trip. This year is a bit cold, as I was there exactly two years ago and the flowers were in full bloom. In a few weeks, it should be perfect!

There are live cameras online to check the blooming status of the flowers. Klook doesn't offer much of a discount on tickets, so if you don't want the hassle, you can buy them on-site; I only wanted to earn some points. The on-site ticket check was very relaxed; there wasn't even a separate QR code scanner. Staff members took photos with their phones and then processed the tickets.

It is best to visit during the flowering season from late April. We arrived at 2pm and spent about 1-1.5 hours. They have souvenir shops and temporary food stalls on-site. If you visit too early, the flowers may not bloom fully. I recommend following their Instagram page for daily updates with photos of the venue. We visited on April 25th, 2025, and the flowers were blooming at 90% with Fuji-san visible. One downside is that parking costs 500 yen even after purchasing tickets.

It was a rainy day, but even without Mount Fuji, it was still incredibly beautiful, and the souvenir shop had many great things to buy.

It was raining heavily. But the flowers were amazing, with lots of colour. Easy to get there with the Bus Liner. Wished we could have seen Mt Fuji.

The Shibazakura Festival is beautiful and only happens once a year, so it's really worth it... It's a good idea to book tickets on Klook so you don't have to queue at the ticket booth.
