We tried a Kaiseki meal at a restaurant in Toyonaka. It was very convenient to get there by subway and then bus. We booked the last available slot and had no trouble getting back to the city center afterwards. We were seated in a private room, and the drink prices were transparent. The service was exceptionally friendly. Even though our Japanese wasn't very good, the staff patiently used a translation app to explain the composition of each dish to us. The dishes themselves were exquisite, with some having unique and novel flavors. This particular set menu focused mainly on poultry, but also included seafood, and it was all delicious. We left feeling very full! Many thanks to all the staff and the chef for a wonderful experience!
We celebrated my daughter's graduation here, though the restaurant did not know because they did not ask 😬 It seemed like we were the only ones in the restaurant, though the servers were all nice and courteous, and introduced the food and how to eat them. Food presentation was very well done.
Choosing this kaiseki restaurant was a truly delightful surprise! The ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully selected according to the season, and every dish showcased the chef's dedication. The service was, of course, impeccable; the staff were friendly and polite, meticulously explaining the ingredients and preparation of each dish. It happened to be New Year's Eve, and the serving ware was exceptionally creative. The ambiance was serene, and the seating comfortable. I will definitely come back again!
We booked the Chef's Special meal, which consisted of 10 courses, each beautifully decorated. Each dish came with a reasonable amount of food, and we were so full by the 7th dish. The Chef is incredibly skilled at mixing ingredients and combining flavors. I've never seen any restaurant use wasabi oil and soy foam with sushi before. The food quality and service are excellent; I highly recommend it! They are so kind and patient, using an iPad and translation apps to communicate and present each dish, ensuring you understand what you're eating. All the employees, including the Chef, came out to say goodbye after we finished. The Chef even went down to the basement to wait for a taxi with us. A big thank you! We had no idea we needed to take a taxi from the basement. The only downside is that it's hard to find the restaurant, especially for non-Japanese speakers like us; we had to ask for directions at a couple of stores. The restaurant is on the second floor of a small building.
Bravo.
One of the best experiences while having lunch at this place. A must-visit when in Japan.
A very exquisite lunch. The chef introduces the food and explains how to eat it, conveying a passion for food that makes the experience very enjoyable.
The food quality and service were good! We drove there ourselves and found the location a bit inconvenient. The restaurant environment was average; when we first arrived, we even thought it wasn't open! Dining time is about two hours, so if you're in a hurry, it's not recommended.
Delicious food, plus a wide selection of sake. Excellent service.
