I really liked the hot spring room, which had both an indoor large bathtub (the wet and dry separation was great) and an outdoor open-air bath (quite private). However, the ingredients for dinner were quite disappointing and fell far short of the description.
The floor area is very large, especially the open-air hot spring bath on the top floor, which is incredibly comfortable. Both the environment and facilities are very satisfying. We will definitely come again next time.
This is my third visit here, and the spa pool even has a ball pit, which is absolutely dreamy and wonderful. The outdoor hot spring water is a slight drawback due to a lot of leaves. In the afternoon, there's an all-you-can-eat afternoon tea, which is super great! (A reminder to everyone: if you want to enjoy the afternoon tea, remember to ask the front desk for the voucher.)
It took about 5 minutes to verify the ticket upon entry (a bit long), but the SPA space itself is excellent. It's spacious, bright, and comfortable, and most importantly, the water jets are powerful enough. The outdoor hot springs ♨️ are clean and tidy, and there's ample space in the rest area. Highly recommended.
I really don't recommend the food. There were only 3 groups of guests all night, so the food wasn't replenished much. Only the coffee machine was available for drinks; everything else was closed. The noodle station was changed to red bean soup, so no noodles could be made. The food part was not good, but the hot spring room was excellent, and the service staff were also good. If the food could be improved, it would be much better.
Convenient parking, no extra charge, elegant decor. Worth revisiting.
2024.12.16 Used Klook ticket, includes afternoon tea and SPA area + outdoor hot spring area. The SPA area is acceptable, but shows signs of age. However, all the various massage functions are still working. There's a spin dryer, water dispenser, and a very hot hot spring pool at 44-45 degrees Celsius. Weekday price is 550, weekend is 660 (for SPA use only). Don't expect much from the afternoon tea; when the occupancy rate is low, it's a set meal (a pseudo-English afternoon tea), not a buffet, and they won't inform you beforehand. It's not filling, and each person only gets one serving. It's something to try once and that's it. When you book on Klook, there's a note attached: "Afternoon tea may not be a buffet and will not be notified in advance." I feel that when it's cold, you'll find this hotel's occupancy rate quite poor; hardly anyone stays there. If a night costs over NT5000, you might as well stay at Hanamu. They provide one large towel per person, and the shower rooms have Tescom hair dryers available. Compared to Hanamu, the facilities are all quite old. They should be renovated and maintained to have a future.
I went in at 10 AM on 12/22. The weather that day was around 17-18 degrees Celsius. The indoor spa area's water temperature was about 35.5 degrees, which I felt could be hotter. Also, the water temperature throughout the area felt uneven; given that the area isn't very large, it shouldn't really have some spots hotter and others colder. The children's ball pit water was cold. The attendant said some children don't like the water too hot, but the water wasn't even lukewarm 😅. I'm not sure if it was being heated but hadn't reached temperature yet, or if the set temperature was just low. Shouldn't the pool water be heated before guests arrive? The bottom of the pool felt gritty when stepped on, which the attendant said was normal, but I don't understand why. This doesn't happen at Chuan Tang Spring or Zhong Guan 🤣. The outdoor pools were around 38.5-40 degrees, which was hot enough. The shower room's shelves weren't wide enough, making it inconvenient to place clothes for changing. For a price of over 600, this quality isn't very acceptable. The front desk staff, however, had a very good attitude.
It's very high-end, but I think it would be better if the bathtub in the room were a bit bigger, and it would be even better if the balcony could be accessed from the bathroom.
The spa facilities are large and excellent, with both indoor and outdoor sections. The service is very good; although the restaurant is a bit understaffed, every service member is incredibly friendly and gets full marks.
