I bought a weekday hot spring bathhouse ticket on SHOP.COM for Klook, and I think it's excellent value for money. The hotel's location is superb, right in the bustling area of Jiaoxi, very close to the lively streets. The hotel is decorated in a new, modern Japanese style, giving a very comfortable, harmonious, and relaxing feeling overall. After being greeted by the staff, we were informed that we could enjoy afternoon tea before going for a soak. It's a self-service buffet, and the restaurant space is also decorated in a charming, artistic style. It offers various breads, nostalgic biscuit series, red bean soup, coffee and beverage machines, braised pork rice, watermelon and guava, and four flavors of Du Royal ice cream for free enjoyment. The self-service time is from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, so those who soak earlier can choose to go for a bath first and then enjoy the tea. The bathhouse also thoughtfully provides biscuits and mineral water. Besides a wet and dry separation, there's also an independent shower space, and a TV where you can watch movies or YouTube, or simply play music. The bathtub space is quite large, perfect for two people. The 120-minute time was more than enough; we wanted to get out before it was over. It was a great experience.
The toilet placement is a bit awkward because there's no door for it inside the room. There's no fan or air conditioning, just a window and a ventilator, but thankfully it was quite windy during our visit. The food was underwhelming, with only bread, braised rice, fruits (guava and lime?), drinks, and ice cream available. If possible, I'd recommend going to the Xinyi branch, but you'll need to book in advance for that one.
After reading the reviews here, I have some insights to share with everyone. Donglu Tangsu has two branches, Feng Hua Yang Guan and Xinyi Store. Both require calling to make a reservation after 7:30 AM on the same day; you cannot book for the next day in advance! The reasons I chose the Xinyi branch later were: it has air conditioning, a small lounge bed to lie on, a large bathtub, and free parking! The phone service staff at both branches were very polite! Looking at others' reviews of Feng Hua Yang Guan, some things I couldn't accept were no air conditioning, poor sound insulation, no parking, no small bed (only chairs), and a small bathtub. However, both branches offer afternoon tea from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM! The staff at the Xinyi branch are all great; they are patient and answer questions thoroughly! Afternoon tea provides: mung bean soup, coffee and drinks, toast that can be grilled, jam, four types of cookies and snacks, fruit, and braised pork rice! It's excellent value for money! The mung bean soup is quite delicious, and the fruit is surprisingly sweet and tasty! I personally don't like the braised pork rice; it lacks aroma, and the rice is a bit hard! It's great to have some snacks after soaking in the hot spring! If you are parking, you need to register at the front desk first, and they will give you a magnetic card for parking. I didn't use this part later, so I'm not sure where the parking lot is! If there are 2 adults and 2 children, the second child, regardless of age, will be charged an additional 299 NTD! I didn't ask about the age limit for the first child, but others' sharing suggests that children under 9 are free. Feng Hua Yang Guan is a bit closer to Jiaoxi Station, probably about a 5-minute walk. The Xinyi branch takes 10 minutes to walk to.
The temperature suddenly dropped, so I quickly arranged a hot spring trip to Jiaoxi. This place has a great location and a wonderful ambiance. Although the bathtub isn't made of stone (which would give it more of a hot spring feel), the white color makes it easier to see if it's clean. Jiaoxi's hot springs are colorless and odorless, and your skin feels soft after soaking.
It's very convenient to buy and use immediately. If you plan to use it on the same day, it's recommended to call ahead to confirm availability for your desired time. 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM is tea time, offering simple light meals and drinks. If I had to point out a drawback, the lighting in the private hot spring room is a bit dim, and since the ceilings are connected, the soundproofing isn't great.
It was a very smooth experience, and two hours on a weekday is great. There's afternoon tea, simple braised pork rice, fruit, bread, ice cream, and drinks. It's a bit of a shame that due to environmental protection, the bottled water that people used to mention is no longer available. Everyone should remember to bring their own water, as you'll get quite thirsty after soaking for two hours. The intention behind environmental protection is good and can be supported.
The private hot spring room feels quite good. It comes with slippers, two bottles of mineral water, two large bath towels, two pairs of slippers, shampoo and shower gel, a long sofa, and a TV to watch! The hot spring water quality should be the colorless and odorless 'beauty spring'! It's great that there are snacks available at 4:00 PM. The value for money is excellent.
Although a bit secluded, the hot spring here is excellent value for money. Other places charge over a thousand for a hot spring, but this one doesn't, and the space isn't small; it's quite comfortable. The only downside is that non-guests cannot park here, so you have to find parking elsewhere. I recommend street parking as it's more cost-effective.
The hotel atmosphere is tranquil, comfortable, and elegant, making it very suitable for bringing elders to relax. The room was super clean. The staff were friendly. We arrived more than two hours later than scheduled, and the staff thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning in the room beforehand, so we immediately had cool air upon entering. Thank you very much.
The overall experience was excellent! Although I missed my train and was late for my hot spring reservation, the front desk staff very kindly helped me extend it. I bought a Klook hot spring voucher, and on weekdays, you also get a free simple afternoon tea. The value for money is incredibly high! 😊😊😊
