Excursão à DMZ saindo de Seul: Museu JSA, Palestra ao Vivo com Desertor Norte-Coreano, Ponte Vermelha

The DMZ tour with GoGo was my favorite experience of my entire Korea trip! This is a must-do for anyone coming to Korea. It was the perfect mix of learning history and culture, physical activity walking up to the bridge, and witnessing remnants of history firsthand as you walk through the invasion tunnels or look out at North Korea through the observatory. The defector talk was incredibly compelling, and there was Q&A time so come prepared with questions. And most importantly, I think a tour is only as good as the guide you have. GoGo with VIP Travel was incredible -- he recounted the history of conflict between North and South Korea from a perspective that I hadn't considered before, and it was very moving. He had profound insight about all of the stops that we made. Choose GoGo as your tour guide if given the option!

I had a great time on the DMZ Tour + JSA Museum with VIP Travel, and our tour guide Nova was great - she kept sharing context and history throughout the trip, so each stop felt a lot more meaningful than it would have otherwise. We saw a number of fascinating places related to the war, and the JSA Museum was a special addition. The whole tour also ran smoothly, thanks Nova!!

Overall, it was a good trip, and our guide Ray spoke well and was very knowledgeable. The Third Tunnel is an interesting walk but has an 11-degree incline. No photos are allowed in the Third Tunnel or Dora Observatory. The JSA museum was underwhelming. Lunch is on the go – either pack your own or buy something along the way.

Oh, what an eye-opening and truly fascinating day trip! Thank you, Crystal, our fantastic and incredibly informative guide, who truly brought to life the entire history of the DMZ's existence. This trip included a live talk with one of the North Korean defectors. I must say, her story is so inspiring, and she is truly a brave young lady to have gone through such an escape. Crystal showed us North Korean currency and explained in great detail the separation. The 3rd tunnel gave us a glimpse of North Korea, being just 170m away! The start was a 30° slope, and after 740 steps, you reach the end of the tunnel with a hole showing the other side. Then, a turnaround, and this time it's another 740 steps upwards! A fun visit to the JSA Museum where you can take a mock-up photo of the crossing and get a souvenir stamping of South/North, followed by the beautiful Gamaksan suspension bridge. The tour was extremely smooth and interesting where each site was memorable. We even had the chance to eat delicious soybean ice cream at the reunification village. Hana was a warm, friendly and engaging tour guide, who was always ready to answer our questions and share informative tidbits about the sights. She even spotted someone cycling at the North Korean farms and pointed them out to us at the Dora Observatory! However please note that the route to the suspension bridge and the journey back up from the 3rd tunnel are quite steep, and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Overall, a day well spent in Paju and the DMZ, would definitely recommend!

This was a great tour! It rained a little during our trip, but Diane, our tour guide, made the experience worthwhile. She was dynamic and very knowledgeable. Even when it rained, Diane creatively pivoted to make sure that we didn’t miss a beat. She knows her stuff and throughout was very positive and outgoing. She called us Kings and Queens, which boosted our group’s morale. I have been on quite a few tours, but this one was quite organized and efficient for the amount of places we visited. I highly recommend it!

This tour was amazing, so many great opportunities to enjoy a day trip from Seoul. Our guide, Gogo, provided us with great insights at every stop of the tour. His friendly, professional demeanour truly made the experience memorable. For those looking for a special opportunity beyond many other tours, the inclusion of the JSA Museum was an added bonus. The tour was amazing! From the beginning, it was informative, had great views, and with our weather, it was simply unbeatable. I would have loved to stay longer in many places. You do need a bit of stamina to keep up. My tour guide Kelly was friendly, humorous, told and taught us an incredible amount, gave tips and recommendations, and provided a wonderful photo service. My tour went to the lake at the end, and it was the best weather for exactly that spot. Thank you for your expertise, Kelly. It was super!

I’m honestly so happy and pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was excellent, and the driver was great as well. I had an amazing front-seat experience for most of the DMZ tour, which made it even more memorable. I initially thought I wouldn’t enjoy it as much, but it turned out to be such a cool and worthwhile experience. I really hope I’ll be able to come back again in the future when the JSA tour reopens. Highly recommend!
