A unique outdoor experience for TeamLab. It happens even when it rains, so bring some waterproof items to keep your feet and clothes dry. There's also a free 30-minute guided tour that provides more details about the installations, which was great. Give yourself some time to appreciate and walk around to take some amazing photos. There are plenty of staff around to answer questions and help guide you. Most of them spoke English, which was helpful. Highly recommended, and if it's raining in the summer, bring a small electric fan as it gets very humid and warm.

That said, it’s best to go on a clear evening, as weather can impact visibility and overall enjoyment. Comfortable shoes are also a must since you’ll be walking quite a bit on uneven terrain. While tickets may feel slightly expensive at first, the experience justifies the price, especially for those interested in art, technology, or photography. TeamLab Botanical Garden Osaka is not just an exhibition—it’s an experience that encourages you to reconnect with nature in a completely new way. It’s highly recommended for couples, solo travelers, and anyone looking for something beyond the usual sightseeing spots in Osaka.

Stepping into teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka (Nagai Botanical Garden Night Exhibition) is like entering a dream where light and nature resonate ✨. From the entrance, you feel gently embraced by the forest. The tree shadows at night, the rustling leaves, and the reflections in the pond all seem to be the stage for this art. The exhibition cleverly blends "plants, light, and sound," making you feel not just like a spectator, but a part of nature. What impressed me most was the "Resonating Microcosms" in the camellia garden—countless glowing egg-shaped installations scattered among the trees. When you approach, touch them, or the wind blows, they change color and emit sounds, as if "conversing" with you. There are also the eucalyptus forest and floating lights in the center of the large pond; every spot is like a meticulously arranged dreamscape. I spent about 1.5 hours there, walking slowly and soaking it all in, occasionally stopping to listen to the wind and watch the light and shadow changes, completely losing track of time. Although the exhibition is outdoors, be careful where you step in dimly lit areas, and you might encounter mosquitoes. It's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and long sleeves for peace of mind.

Ever since I saw teamLab in Taiwan, I've been hooked. This time, seeing the night teamLab exhibition at Nagai Botanical Garden in Osaka was a unique experience. Even without teamLab's signature indoor spaces with painted animals, the combination of the botanical garden's plants and teamLab's art is still very much worth a visit! The exhibition this time was roughly divided into six zones. Upon entering, you're greeted by two rows of bald cypress trees, with a lake at the end. The lights on the trees by the lake change, allowing you to capture trees of different colors and their reflections on the water. In the next area, there are many small dinosaur eggs irregularly arranged in the forest; you can find your favorite and take a photo with it. After walking out of the egg forest, you'll reach another side of the lake, where several special pillars in the water display constantly moving patterns. Walking towards the restrooms, there's a row of maple trees; when they turn red, the leaves are incredibly vibrant, and you can capture their reflection with the lake. Further ahead, there's an area with small lanterns on the lake, which feels very cozy. Then you can go to a forest with many large spheres; the colors of these spheres also change with different lighting over time. It had rained a bit the morning we went, and someone had even arranged a heart symbol with leaves on one of the spheres. Further into the forest, green lights illuminate the trees, creating many ripple effects, but it looked just okay, so we quickly walked past it 😅. Further ahead in the forest, there's a long curtain with people or animals walking forward, but the accompanying sound felt a bit eerie 😅. Then, there's a flame effect behind it; it's beautiful, but it didn't feel particularly special. After exiting the forest, you'll come to a special art installation where many long, strip-like objects sway and jump upwards to soothing music. You can sit on the nearby chairs to relax and enjoy it 😆. Then, you can wander from the irises nearby to the lakeside, take some more beautiful photos, and then get ready to head home 🥰. Visiting teamLab Botanical Garden in Osaka was such a unique and mesmerizing experience! The garden lights up with stunning interactive art installations that blend perfectly with the natural surroundings. There were glowing orbs, shifting colors, and gentle music creating a really calming vibe.

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Weather is perfect for us to be there for today. Based on previous visitors' comments, we brought mosquito repellent and wore long pants, but we didn't need them. The gentle music playing inside the park created a truly peaceful atmosphere. Furthermore, it wasn't so dark inside that you couldn't see your way around. The dreamlike interplay of lights and shadows was breathtaking. The large expanse of colorful light eggs in Area B reminded me of the Alien movie, but with a more friendly presence. Highly recommended.

We came on a rainy day in March 2026, and honestly, I think that added to the experience. It was remarkably colorful and very calming to walk through the exhibits. I was particularly fond of the second section, which involved colored lights on the trees and LED pods in the forest.
