Tennoji Zoo was a wonderful experience and one of the highlights of our Osaka trip. The star attraction for us was definitely the polar bear—it was amazing to see such a powerful and beautiful animal up close. The enclosure was spacious and offered great viewing opportunities. The zoo is easy to explore, family-friendly, and home to a good variety of animals from around the world. The grounds are well maintained, and we enjoyed spending several relaxing hours here. Highly recommended!

The zoo was easy to navigate and had many different animals to see. The best part of the experience was that they also had an indoor storage locker for bags and food carts for snacks during breaks after your walk. I went in May, so it was nice and warm.

We came here because it was near our accommodation, and for the price and size, the zoo is fantastic. Everyone, from middle schoolers to high schoolers and parents, was satisfied. I loved how they arranged it so you could see the animals from various angles and viewpoints, and it was great to see the hippos up close. Perhaps because we went in the morning, it was feeding time, so it was nice to see them actively eating and moving around. It was also a great experience to see polar bears and bats. Looking through my photo album, I took so many animal pictures that I felt like a safari documentary director. I highly recommend booking in advance; we scanned the QR code and entered immediately without waiting! This is a must-do!

Amazing zoo and for such a cheap price, too. Our kids aged 8 and 5 enjoyed it here a lot. Adults of any age who love animals and being around nature will also have a good time here. Highlight was definitely the red panda 😍

We came on a hot day, so make sure to bring an umbrella and apply sunblock. Easy QR entry. The snack bar with the cheesedog and fries was yummy.

Using the QR code for entry was very convenient. This historic zoo allowed us to get up close with the animals. The polar bear was the most lively I've ever seen, constantly playing with a plastic barrel in the water and loving to dive; I couldn't bear to leave. The penguins there were also very cute, the giraffes were elegant, and there was even a gorilla that pulled a blanket over itself. There were many other different animals too. A group of four adults and four secondary school students walked for three hours before leaving for the next activity. It's definitely worth a visit for animal lovers.
