Aventura de rafting em Padas White Water, em Sabah

The entire experience was brilliant, except for the long time spent on land transport. Guide Arie was patient, professional, and proficient in English. He gave us all the information we expected in his briefing session and patiently guided us to complete the nice rafting experience. The old rail train was another highlight apart from the rafting; riding among the greenery across Tenom and Pangi was so much joy! Thank you, Arie.

This is my second time here. We didn't get to take the scenic train ride as the railway tracks had been damaged by floods. Instead, the locals gave us a one-of-a-kind experience: a motor rolling stock trolley.

I found rafting while planning a trip to Kota Kinabalu, chosen for my daughter's elementary school graduation trip. While comparing Kiulu and Padas, Kiulu seemed too ordinary, so I passed on it. There were no recent reviews, and it was an old experience, so I initially thought of finding information and booking cheaply in Jesselton. I tried to book locally, but the price difference with online was too significant (they quoted 350-400 per person after discount), so I immediately booked through Klook. Even right before rafting, I was worried it might be too dangerous for a girl who is also short (150cm). However, my worries were unfounded; it was an incredibly exciting and enjoyable experience. The travel time and cost were absolutely worth it. If you usually enjoy thrills, you should definitely try it once. The boat didn't flip over like in some YouTube videos, but 4 out of 8 participants fell into the water, haha. Don't panic; if you float in the water, they'll rescue you.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed ourselves. Excellent experience. Hotel pick up at 4am and we were back at hotel in KK city centre by 5pm. Our guide Ari is really friendly and safety conscious too.

¡¡Gran experiencia!! - Lo hice hace 10 años y sigue siendo igual de bueno. Los chicos de White Hunter Co. eran personas experimentadas y divertidas, muy serviciales. Volveré. Un punto a tener en cuenta es que tuvimos un viaje muy rápido y accidentado de ida y vuelta al río; necesitan proporcionar furgonetas más nuevas, ya que la suspensión era inexistente y las furgonetas eran muy viejas y algo sucias. Viajar casi 5 horas de ida y vuelta fue más agotador que el propio rafting, ya que teníamos que sujetarnos o ser lanzados por toda la furgoneta. Los conductores fueron amables, pero necesitan ir más despacio, especialmente bajo la lluvia.

Rafting is very exciting and fun; the duration varies depending on the water level (45min~80min). The lunch provided is delicious (the curry cooked by the Malays is truly excellent). The downsides are that the round trip by car takes a total of five hours, and the road conditions are poor. Additionally, local train services are infrequent, so if you finish early, you'll have to wait. Also, I heard from a Grab driver that there might be crocodiles in the river, haha.

The instructor is very good and nice. Sharing local knowledge.

Thrilling and heart-pounding, definitely worth a try and not a wasted trip! Our family of four set off at 4 AM, first by car, then transferring from Tenom Station to Pangi Station by train, where our white-water rafting adventure began. The journey was a bit long, but the rafting experience was absolutely worth every penny! Our guide, Arie, was very professional, responsible, helpful, and provided detailed information. When a group member accidentally fell into the river, he quickly rescued them, ensuring safety and reliability!

Almost drowned but absolutely had a great time white water rafting. Don't worry, life vests were provided and you don't have to know how to swim in order to participate in this activity. The DIY train ride to the venue was rather interesting too. LOVED IT. Highly recommended butdo bring along some snacks in case you get hungry as you might need to wait a period of time to catch the real train back to the city area.

It was fun and convenient getting it from Klook! My friends enjoyed the hospitality provided by the guide.
