This was my second trip to Kanchanaburi. This time, because I was traveling with my parents, I opted for a private car hire and Route C. The Honda Accord served the three of us, so it was spacious and comfortable. Although the driver only spoke basic English, which was a slight limitation in his tour guidance, he was very friendly and helpful throughout the trip, which was very appreciated. Furthermore, we were allowed to decide how much time to spend at each stop, and even at the final stop on the River Kwai Bridge, he didn't rush us, allowing us to enjoy the scenery at our own pace. Highly recommended! Thank you, driver Mr. Phongsan!
We had a great time with the Kanchanaburi multiple route private tour booked through Klook. The itinerary was exceptional, well planned, and we were fully informed throughout the booking process. A special thanks to Ton, our tour guide and driver for the day. He was amazing—although he had some difficulty communicating in English, we were truly impressed by his effort to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and enjoying the tour. He arrived early at our hotel, drove carefully, and ensured we returned safely. Bonus points for Ton’s photography skills—he took great photos for us and made the experience even more memorable. Overall, his service was exceptional, and we would definitely request him again for our next tour. Thank you, Klook and Ton, for the wonderful experience.
Erawan National Park Waterfall is definitely worth a visit! Every step offers a new view, with different layers. The murals inside Tiger Cave Temple tell the history of Thailand, but the temple itself is slightly less impressive than the Emerald Buddha Temple. Mina Cafe, however, offers a very nice viewpoint. The Bridge over the River Kwai is a bit ordinary. (All five stars are for Erawan Waterfall) We'd like to give special thanks to our tour guide, Mr. Coconut. He speaks English, and our communication was very smooth overall. He was very enthusiastic, very friendly, and very polite. He took many photos for us along the way. He guided us around like a local friend! All in all, I highly recommend this tour – just go for it!
We had such a great time on our Kanchanaburi private tour. Our guide was incredibly punctual—he even arrived early at our hotel, which was a nice surprise. He was very kind, helpful, and spoke really good English, so everything felt easy and comfortable throughout the trip. One of the highlights for us was the fish spa. We honestly didn’t expect it to be a hot spring onsen-style treat, and it turned out to be such a relaxing and fun experience! Our guide also took the initiative to snap photos of us and always gave us enough time to explore each spot without feeling rushed. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable, and memorable day. Definitely recommending this tour!
Our guide, Ms. Tamm, was truly kind and friendly! I usually get very severe motion sickness in cars, but I barely felt any with her driving! My mother even praised her as the 'best driver'! She also seemed very dedicated to taking photos; she constantly wanted to take pictures of us whenever there was a beautiful spot. Even when we took our time sightseeing, she always waited for us, and it was wonderful how she used a translator to communicate with us! The tour was the best! The cafe was also incredibly beautiful, and although we couldn't see stages 6-7 of Erawan Park due to closing time, it was still a very beautiful place! It was a fulfilling tour where we got to see all the places we wanted to visit!
Our guide and driver, Mr. Cat, was excellent. Even though he didn't speak much English, he used translation apps to tell us about the history of the places we visited and to answer our questions. All the locations we visited were very interesting, and the lunch at Meena Cafe was much better than I anticipated. I would recommend this package for people looking to experience the Death Railway.
The overall experience during the tour was great. Our driver picked us up at the hotel on time. He only spoke Thai, and sometimes it was hard to communicate, but that was okay. At Tiger Cave, some of the temple areas were under construction, but the view was refreshing with green landscapes. We had lunch at Meena Cafe; the coconut coffee is a must-try. The food is reasonably priced; you can order Pad Thai for only 90 THB with a view of green fields overlooking Wat Tham Suea temple. I conquered the 5th waterfall at Erawan National Park, but of course, my two friends conquered the 7th waterfall 😆😊. It was a great adventure to reconnect with nature, and the park itself has a camping site. I didn't appreciate the River Kwai Bridge as much; it was a typical old bridge with an old tram, but I was happy to see the old train pass by 😊. What's important is that we enjoyed this trip with friends. Please add Kanchanaburi to your next trip! 💕 It's 3 hours away from Bangkok.
The driver and customer service will contact me via Line the day before to confirm the order, license plate number, and pick-up location. The driver was very considerate, asking if we needed help taking photos, where we wanted to eat, or if we needed to use the restroom. He also responded to messages very quickly. Although he didn't speak much English, he was very friendly and tried his best to help us rush to the next destination, giving us a little extra time at the waterfall national park. Due to intermittent rain, we walked to the fourth level waterfall today, taking about an hour for the round trip at a leisurely pace. Only the first, second, and fourth levels have waterfalls to see and swim in; the other levels do not. I think walking all four levels and then playing in the water for 40-50 minutes is just right. The driver allocated a total of three hours for us, which was more than enough. If you want to swim, remember to rent a life jacket as soon as you see them at the entrance, otherwise, you'll miss your chance as there are no rentals further in. You can bring swimwear and a change of clothes. I think wearing sandals with good grip is the best option, and it's best to bring a waterproof bag so it doesn't get dirty when placed on rocks. There are three restrooms and shower rooms here, but nowhere to hang things and no hair dryers; it's just for a simple rinse. Those who are particular should take note. If possible, I think it would be better to avoid the rainy season or rainy days. This was a great experience!
