You have to check in at the entrance first, then join the queue. Initially, they arranged for us to sit quite far back, but because I had a leg injury, a staff member came over and asked if I wanted to change to a more convenient table for getting food. This really made me feel very cared for. Also, I originally planned to dine with my mother today, but my sister's child unexpectedly needed my mother to look after them in the morning, so we had to bring the child along. The staff also accommodated us by adding an extra seat at short notice, which truly deserves a thumbs up 👍. The food was decent; the sashimi and shrimp were quite fresh, but the sashimi was cut into very small pieces, so it didn't have much texture. Surprisingly, there was no fried shrimp or roasted beef. The freshly carved ham was very tender and delicious. ...more Photo 1 of Sean Hsu's review Photo 2 of Sean Hsu's review Photo 3 of Sean Hsu's review Photo 4 of Sean Hsu's review +14 Shing Tse Local Guide · 46 reviews · 280 photos 1 week ago Newest Dine-in | Dinner | $1,000-1,200 It was a very pleasant dining experience. Dinner that day was booked and paid for in advance via mobile phone, and seating was very smooth! The request for a window seat was also fulfilled! My favorite was the boiled oysters; there was a timer there, and they would be served when the time was up! Two per person at a time. Because they were quickly taken, you had to pay attention to the time! There were so many dessert options! The coffee was also delicious! Let me start with my personal conclusion: Han Lai Tianmu branch completely surpasses all buffets I've had that cost over a thousand dollars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The most amazing dishes were the roasted ribeye and pork chop. The roasted meat here is truly the most tender I've ever had 😍 I've eaten at Xiang X several times and always felt that... the roasted series was very dry. I originally had that impression of roasted meats. Unexpectedly, Han Lai Tianmu completely refreshed my and my dining companions' negative impressions of roasted meats. Paired with red wine sauce and confit garlic, it was absolutely wonderful ❤️ Next is the German pork knuckle. Although I deliberately chose pieces without skin, compared to other places where I've had it too tough, the texture here was relatively tender and springy 👍👍👍 Then there's the very ordinary but still delicious steamed seafood egg custard that I had three servings of 😋 & the red yeast pork also performed very well. For drinks: This was my first time trying Reiwa Plum Wine. It had only a tiny hint of alcohol, which for someone who doesn't drink, was great. Although there were other drinks available, I found this one so good that I had two glasses. Finally, desserts: The Osmanthus Oolong Tea Jelly was incredibly fragrant and delicious. Even with so many dessert choices, I still went back for the Osmanthus Oolong Tea Jelly three times. Next was the timeless crème brûlée; I had it twice and then was too full to have more 😂 On par with the crème brûlée was the mini berry tart. The texture was very layered when you bit into it – super amazing! The macarons weren't too sweet or sticky, and their layers were quite distinct, definitely worth getting. Compared to the above: The sashimi tasted ordinary, and the honey-glazed ham at the Tianmu branch was a bit drier and tougher compared to the Dunhua branch... That's about it.
The Han-Lai Harbour Tianmu store offers convenient transportation, easily accessible by MRT. The restaurant space is comfortable and aesthetically designed, perfect for friends' gatherings, meals, and birthday celebrations. The culinary offerings are diverse and comprehensive, featuring both Chinese and Western dishes, delicious beef, and Japanese cuisine like sashimi and nigiri sushi. There's also fresh seafood including flower crabs, sweet shrimp, and mussels, a wide variety of fried foods and pizzas, juice drinks, red and white wines, shaved ice, Häagen-Dazs, and various delectable desserts. The exquisite presentation enhances the appetite, satisfying everyone's taste buds and providing a gourmet feast. Why not treat yourself and indulge a little!
When I went to Taiwan for a buffet, after deducting the discount coupons, it cost an average of HKD 280 per person. For this price, you can enjoy such a wide variety of food, and the quality is good, with polite service staff. I asked a male server if the Klook coupon could be used immediately after purchase. He was very responsible and helped me ask the front desk, and also meticulously helped me verify if the purchased coupon matched today's price. If you want to eat a buffet but your budget isn't too high, go to Han Lai; you won't be disappointed.
✨I absolutely love all-you-can-eat buffets, and among those I've tried, Han Lai offers great value for money. Dessert lovers definitely shouldn't miss it, 🍰 with over twenty delicious varieties of desserts and coffees. The seafood and sashimi are also fresh, so if you love these two categories, don't hesitate. Other dishes are at least decent, if not good. The seating is a bit cramped (Taichung branch). Compared to afternoon tea, dinner offers more options like grilled oysters, soufflé, mantis shrimp, shrimp tempura, etc. (all of which are excellent 👍🏻), plus double the dining time. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, mooncakes are also available. Overall, highly recommended 🩵
The food was great and they decorated the place for Halloween, with themed food designs. Tasty food, free-flow white and red wine and beer, with friendly service, and since I made reservations earlier, I had a guaranteed table. The Klook voucher was easily redeemed and used during payment.
I really love the Han-Lai Harbour buffet restaurant. They have a wide variety of fresh seafood, and the cooking methods are diverse. The European-style dishes are also very exquisite. The venue is bright, the flow of people is smooth, and the staff provides excellent service. The prices are reasonable. It's located on the seventh floor of Tianmu SOGO Department Store, making it convenient for shopping and dining. You can easily get there by MRT, bus, or car.
The Han Lai Harbor Restaurant at the Han Lai Hotel, located on the 43rd floor, offers a weekday lunch for 890 + 10%, which is less than a thousand NTD. For this price, you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, making it very accessible. Even on weekdays, lunch is almost fully booked, and we even encountered a tour group of Japanese tourists. The space is large, and all the seafood is very fresh. We especially recommend the grilled oysters, which are delicious and large. There are many dessert options after the meal, as well as plenty of fresh fruit.
The Hi-Lai Harbour Restaurant all-you-can-eat buffet is a major brand in the industry, and being able to instantly purchase and use e-vouchers on Klook is incredibly convenient. Because we decided to have dinner on a whim, we didn't have to wait for physical vouchers to be mailed, and it was also slightly cheaper than the on-site price. We really liked the dining environment at the Tianmu branch; it's truly great! However, Hi-Lai Harbour Restaurant is raising its prices again, and these prices are already irreversible.
I probably go to eat there two or three times a year. The menu changes every month. The seafood is fresh, and the fresh shrimp is especially delicious. Beef soup, crab pot, pizza, caramelized grapefruit, bubble tea, cucumber lemon juice, fried shrimp tempura, braised pork intestines, and typhoon shelter crab are all must-haves every time I visit. Although the prices keep increasing, given that everything else is also getting more expensive, it's still a good value for money. On weekends, you definitely need to book in advance!
