Avaliações
Excellent day out with Southern Cross Tours! Our knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, Amber, made our experience 5star! Comfy van, safe driving, snacks and drinks included, plus an easy way to learn about and visit some amazing sights in the Hinterland. Kamarun lookout, Lamington National Forest, O'Reillys, and Canungra Vineyard for lunch. We saw wallabies, many birds, brush turkeys, interesting plant species. Our tour was supposed to end here…but we were only two on our tour, since the others didn’t show up. We then had extra time and Amber kindly stopped at another national park, Tamborine, plus their quaint town center full of shops. Lucky us we also stopped at a conservation park on our way home and we saw a mob of kangaroos and a koala high up in a eucalyptus tree! Even if we only did the regular itinerary I would highly recommend this tour! Our bonus stops just goes to show this tour company knows how to give their guests an unforgettable experience!
Booked less than 24 hrs before the trip via Klook and it was easy and convenient to confirm the booking. The staff was really helpful as we got a bit lost trying to find the meet up point, can easily call for assistance as their numbers are provided. The tour itself was great, Daniel our guide was full of information keeping the group entertained. Ride was smooth in a cozy group of 12 pax bus. Everything was nice and on schedule back at 4pm. Rainforest walk, bird feedings and alpaca feedings were so fun, the animals are really enthusiastic. The food (not inclusive in package) particularly the Fisherman’s Basket For Two was amazing, really fresh! Scenic views on the way to the park as well
Highly recommended! We walked the alpaca Bambi and climbed to the very top of the tall fig tree. The view was tremendous.
Today's weather was not so good, very windy with patches of rain when arriving at Kamarun Lookout. The good thing is we have a very friendly guide, David, with local intelligence, who guided us to Booyong Walk and Tree Top Walk. David not only shared his knowledge about trees, birds, and the rainforest but also willingly answered any questions and provided assistance upon request.
The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. It was a truly hassle-free and comfortable journey to Lamington National Park, especially since we don't drive. A great experience! We hope to come back soon!
If only there was a six-star button, I would gladly give it to them. I thought I was going to have to cancel this tour due to insufficient numbers, and I wasn't expecting them to take us with such a small group. For that, I must commend Southern Cross Tour for their commitment and professionalism. We had a knowledgeable, cheerful lady, Amber, as our tour guide. She is a really experienced and careful driver. She showed us the local Queensland Stingers and explained how the Strangler fig takes over its host tree over hundreds of years. We had a wonderful, refreshing time with nature and her interesting information. Amber is truly passionate about nature and a bird lover, so she introduced us to some beautiful birds and trees as well. We experienced the exciting treetop walk and climb, and took photos with the colorful Australian King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas. When you join a tour, you truly experience the place you visit. I think this is what a HOLIDAY is all about.
The tour guide was knowledgeable about the tour's subject matter, explaining everything to us with amazing views in sight and great wines to enjoy. There are also cute alpacas to feed, but be careful, they can get rough and excited. My girlfriend was bitten while feeding them.
My guide Bill was an extraordinary person. His knowledge, not just about Lamington but about many subjects, is amazing. I really had a nice time with him, and the tour was great too. Miss you, Bill. Until next time.
The drive up had a lot of long and winding roads across cliffsides, so I'm glad we decided to go with a tour than trying to brave the roads ourselves. Our guide Mark was friendly and told us a lot of interesting stories about Australia. The snacks and drinks at the top of the lookout was a nice way to start the trip, and the bird feeding was really fun with the bird occassionally perching on our heads. The lunch spot had really tasty food as well! I did wish we could have spent a bit more time with the Alpacas though, but that's just a minor gripe.
Enjoyed the tour with our friendly guide Bill. I was glad that I joined the tour as the roads up were very windy and I got to go up comfortably in the van with wonderful commentary by Bill.
