The pre-trip communication was thorough and clear. Due to bad weather, Brisbane Whale Watching sent an email a week before the trip, offering a refund or rescheduling. We quickly rescheduled the departure date via email, and communication was smooth. The driver was punctual for pickup. On board, there was a shop selling coffee, hot drinks, soft drinks, snacks, sunscreen, and souvenirs for an additional charge. The included meal was rich and delicious. On our late July 2026 trip, we were very lucky to encounter two humpback whales swimming alongside the yacht. The captain was very friendly and professional, providing clear broadcast directions to help us spot the whales when they surfaced to breathe, which greatly enhanced the entire boat tour.

The VIP whale watching tour seats guests in a VIP cabin with dedicated staff providing excellent service. The meal box, consisting of chicken breast slices, potato salad, a fruit platter, and bread, was simple but tasty. We went whale watching in early July and successfully saw whales up close, admiring their majestic surfacing. We purchased motion sickness pills on board for AUD 1 each and took them before departure, which allowed us to enjoy whale watching on the open sea without issue. I recommend taking motion sickness pills, as the boat was very rocky once it reached the open water; I observed several passengers on board suffering from seasickness and vomiting. The VIP ticket does not include hotel transfer service, only the standard ticket does. It would be great if VIP tickets also offered the option to add hotel transfer service for an additional fee, as the pier is quite far and transportation is inconvenient.

I had a fantastic time on this whale watching tour! The pickup and drop-off were smooth and right on time, with a friendly driver who made the ride very pleasant. Onboard, the crew were super nice and knowledgeable. They shared lots of interesting facts about whales while we watched them in action. We were really lucky to spot many whales throughout the trip—it was such an unforgettable experience! They offered motion sickness tablets before departure, which was very thoughtful. If you tend to get seasick, I recommend taking one in advance. Lunch was provided in a healthy and tasty picnic box—light yet satisfying. Snacks and drinks were also sold on the boat, but a bit pricey, so bringing your own is a good idea. Overall, this tour was well-organized, enjoyable, and definitely worth it. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting during whale season!

I bought a VIP ticket, which allowed me to sit behind the cockpit and enjoy 360-degree whale watching on the deck. However, I noticed that non-VIP guests were also able to access the deck, and I'm unsure if this is correct. The VIP ticket included lunch, which was a salad box and a drink. With a whale watching experience of about two hours, there was simply no time to eat lunch. The captain was very professional, constantly searching for whales. I was delighted to see a mother whale and her calf swimming freely. However, I've seen other whale watching companies in different regions observe more active whales, so I might try another company next time. The VIP ticket did not include city transfers. I contacted the whale watching company via email to arrange a separate transfer, which cost AUD 45 per person for a round trip. Payment could be made online by credit card or in cash upon boarding. Overall, it was a memorable experience, and I highly recommend it.

Had a great experience seeing the whales. The staff were all lovely and friendly and was super helpful when I was hurling my guts out due to the heavy current (noting that I did take motion tablets before I went on the boat). Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see whale.
