I wholeheartedly recommend this tour! Mudouyu is beautiful, and the coast and beach of Jibei are breathtaking. The captain and tour guide are incredibly professional and experienced, making everyone feel at ease. They provide explanations throughout the journey, and the crew members are very kind, always attentive to the needs of the tourists. They are truly professional. When the weather is good, sitting on the deck with the wind blowing is very chill. They also have drone footage and will go ashore with everyone to teach various poses for photos – super impressive! In short, if you come to Penghu, I highly recommend this tour. The boat company is Xinyang Recreation. They also have another evening tour to Gupoyu, which I'd love to try next time I visit Penghu, because good captains, professional tour leaders, and crew members are truly commendable 💟

This one-day tour to Beihai with my family and furry friends was truly worthwhile. It was my first time feeding seagulls, and it was super fun! The tour guide provided explanations along the way, and I learned a lot. The staff were also very friendly. The simple set meals for lunch and dinner were surprisingly delicious. Overall, I can only say that the entire trip was excellent value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Penghu!
May 13, 2025, Beihai one-day tour with Xinyang Express Boat. Our guide, Xiao Lu, was excellent; the tour, photography, and service were all perfect! We cruised around Tiezhanyu, surrounded by terns. Landing on Mudouyu, it's my number one spot: clean, clear, secluded, beautiful, with gradient blue waters, isolated from the world, and shell sand. We also landed on Jibei Island, which was clean, clear, beautiful, with gradient blue waters, shell sand, and the sushi at Zhengjia was delicious. Definitely worth choosing.
The Northern Island Hopping tour starts with taking photos under the Penghu Great Bridge, then heading to Tieh-Chan Islet to see seabirds, followed by landing on Chipei Island. Although I've been here before, I still went to the Sand Tail Beach to walk along the waves. There are several shops selling shell ice on the island, as well as a convenience store (FamilyMart). We had lunch there and rested before heading to Mu-Tou Islet to see the lighthouse. In the afternoon, we circled Ku-Po Islet, where there were also seagulls. The sun was very strong, so be sure to apply sun protection!
Island hopping in Beihai was really fun, and feeding the terns was also enjoyable. However, the shuttle bus was later replaced by scooters. The white sand on Jibei Island is incredibly beautiful, and the tour guide was okay, but I wondered if it was due to the hot weather, as I felt he was a bit impatient. He asked if anyone wanted an in-depth tour, and two people signed up. Later, he kept confirming and reconfirming (It's very hot! Are you sure you still want to go?). One person gave up, leaving only one. He kept asking again, so that traveler told him that if he thought it was too much trouble for one person, he should just say no directly.
This itinerary was quite fulfilling, from the tern colonies and Blue Cave at Tieanzhen Islet, to the ecological tour of Gupo Islet, and then the introduction and landing on Mudou Islet and Jibei Islet, as well as the extra tips from our guide Xiao Lu. Throughout the trip, we learned a lot about the inner sea and northern waters of Penghu. It was a very worthwhile journey.
What a fantastic trip! Highly recommended! Sitting on the deck was thrilling and I didn't get seasick at all. Just be careful not to get your scalp sunburned. However, on Jibei Island, don't choose the shuttle bus for transportation. It only goes to two spots: the Shell Ice store and Shamo Beach... you can't go anywhere else, which is a bit boring.
The last experience was excellent, and this time I brought some friends along, and everyone had a great time. Yifan and Xiaolu's guided tours and explanations were very professional, and their photography skills were even better! 👍
