Once we got the car and filled it with gas, our first day's activities—leaving the airport, having dinner, and getting to the hotel—were all seamlessly handled. Similarly, for our return journey, we could drive straight back to the airport, avoiding any shuttle hassles. The owner is easygoing, generous, and good to communicate with. There were no disputes regarding the rental or car pickup, so there's no need to worry too much about the usual rental car trivialities. The car's condition was above average, and the owner, understanding our needs, provided us with a larger model (thoughtful +1). However, the wind in Penghu is very strong this season, so on some roads, you need to be extra careful while riding. All in all, having a scooter gave us a convenient trip to Penghu, allowing us to explore, sightsee, and relax our minds! ^^

Online ordering is convenient and affordable, but it takes 20 minutes to walk from Penghu Hotel to the 996 Hotian store. If you rent a scooter, the downside is that the helmets don't have windproof visors. We recommend that at least the helmet for the front rider has a visor to block wind and sand for safety. It doesn't matter for the passenger in the back. From December 13th to 15th, 2014, everyone experienced the joy of being blown by the wind – it was cool, windy, and sandy, feeling like sand hitting your face! ^o^

During the summer vacation, I traveled to Penghu and stayed at the Discovery Hotel. There's a shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel, so I chose a scooter rental shop in the city that also offers shuttle service. I picked Yuda Scooter Rental this time. However, the scooter I received was almost out of gas, so I had to go to a gas station immediately. The condition of the scooter was generally good. I immediately took photos and videos to avoid any future disputes, and the shop also reminded me to do so. Some roads in Penghu have traffic enforcement cameras, so be careful not to speed and remember to make two-stage left turns.

It's very convenient to order on the platform. Many people visit Penghu during the summer vacation. This time, I chose Yuda Car Rental because it offers pick-up and drop-off services. The Discovery Hotel, where I stayed this time, was within the store's pick-up range. The store is not far from the Discovery Hotel, but it would take more than ten minutes to walk there under the scorching sun. Having a pick-up service in the summer is really great. This time, I rented five scooters, and almost all of them had empty fuel tanks at the beginning, so I had to go refuel first. It cost about 135 NTD to fill them up.

Excellent value for money and high cost-performance ratio for scooter rental. The scooter was very new and easy to ride. When handing over the scooter, the shop owner enthusiastically reminded us not to park illegally and to use the two-stage left turn at intersections to avoid fines. The rental process was quick, and they also asked customers to record a video to confirm that the scooter provided was in good condition. The return process was even faster. For independent travelers, having a scooter to get around Penghu is truly much more convenient.

The winter wind is incredibly strong! The scooter shop owner was very kind and gave me a helmet with a visor, though it seems normal for rental helmets not to have one. You might consider bringing your own helmet (?). The wind was so strong it would blow the helmet backward, almost choking me with the strap. Overall, I still recommend renting a scooter for exploring; it's very convenient to stop and see anything interesting you spot along the way.

Having a good vehicle allows you to travel all over Penghu Island. I originally thought it might be like Green Island or Xiaoliuqiu, where the scooters are old Sanyang models, almost rusted away by the sea breeze. To my surprise, when the shop owner led us to the alley next door to pick up the scooter, it was a YAMAHA AXIS Z, and it even came with a phone holder so you wouldn't get lost navigating. The shop owner also thoughtfully reminded us about places where tickets are often issued recently and areas that are more dangerous, making them a highly recommended establishment.👍

Someone drove us to the airport to pick up the car. The car was in good condition, with no issues with the accelerator or brakes. The owner kindly reminded us to drive carefully and not to speed. The weather in Penghu in May was comfortable, but for some reason, it was very windy those two days. Returning the car in the city, the closing time was 6 PM, which was a bit inconvenient but still acceptable. When returning the car, the staff also reminded us that Penghu's coral reefs cannot be taken back to Taiwan, as customs will inspect them! We honestly didn't know this, and it's right to leave the beauty of Penghu in Penghu.
