Aula de Pintura em Batik e Escultura em Madeira no Five Art Studio em Ubud

Am Morgen nahm ich an einem Batik-Malkurs teil – eine wunderschöne und entspannende Erfahrung. Da ich die einzige Teilnehmerin war, erhielt ich eine sehr persönliche Anleitung von Dika. Er führte mich geduldig durch jeden Schritt und half mir am Ende sogar, mein Fischdesign zum Leben zu erwecken. Die Atmosphäre war ruhig und angenehm, und die Gastfreundschaft war wunderbar. Absolut empfehlenswert für jeden, der ein besonderes Erlebnis in Ubud sucht! Am Nachmittag nahm ich an einem Holzschnitzkurs teil. Auch hier war ich allein, und obwohl ich den Namen des Lehrers leider vergessen habe, war er unglaublich nett, hilfsbereit und geduldig. Ich habe viel gelernt und es wirklich genossen, etwas mit meinen eigenen Händen zu schaffen. Ich kann das Five Arts Studio wärmstens empfehlen – eine fantastische Möglichkeit, balinesisches Handwerk hautnah zu erleben.

Had the absolute best time :) a warm group of teachers taught an equally enthusiastic and fun group of students Batik! I was so moved by the Batik Class that I booked the Kelki class! The teachers are kind, encouraging, gentle and patient. I'm most definitely going back for a longer program next time :)!

We had such a wonderful time at the Batik Painting Class! The staff were incredibly warm, patient, and knowledgeable. The session began with a brief history of batik, followed by template selection or freehand sketching. We had a practice round tracing with wax before working on our actual artwork, which helped us feel more confident. The team was so accommodating—supporting our requests for specific colours and techniques, and guiding us kindly throughout. Despite us arriving late due to a 2-hour journey, they were understanding and even extended the session beyond their closing time. What really stood out was how they personally delivered our finished batiks to us the next day—this was truly above and beyond. We bonded so much with the team, and the whole experience was both meaningful and fun. Highly recommended!

I was looking for painting activities and stumbled upon this session. It was one of my most memorable sessions in Bali ☺️ I had a great time learning from Juli, I didn’t really fancy the samples they provided and modified one of Juli’s original works. He was really happy that I liked his works too. He gave lots of guidance and assistance and also did some touch-ups for my work too. Highly recommend this activity to anyone who’s into art ☺️

Five Art Studio is an art studio located north of Ubud. The teachers there meticulously explained the history and steps of batik to us, and also provided many templates for us to use. However, since my girlfriend and I are both illustrators, we decided to challenge ourselves by drawing our own designs! The most difficult part of batik is drawing the lines with wax; it's hard to control the dripping wax. The teachers were very dedicated, guiding us and helping us complete our work, and even checked if all the edges of our designs were properly connected before we started coloring. We spent an entire afternoon until evening there, and we are very grateful that the teachers waited for us to finish before leaving work. Moreover, because we were flying home the next day, they dried our pieces overnight and personally delivered our artwork to us before our flight. They were incredibly thoughtful! I highly recommend this class to everyone; you'll gain a lot, even if you don't have any drawing experience!

Batik painting was an incredibly fun and calming activity. Everyone was so thoughtful, kind, and great teachers! Biggest shout out to my teacher and incredible artist Kadec Ajus. Such a great guide with every step of the process and makes you feel comfortable in your skills and challenging yourself a bit more. Needed to leave before we could finish the art and they so generously dropped my batik to my hotel. Their hospitality is incredible. This studio is an absolute must-visit in Ubud. 100% recommend!

Definitely one of my highly recommended activities in Bali. The artists who taught and guided us were really nice and kind. They made us feel safe and encouraged us to explore and commit happy mistakes while creating our art. The experience is very therapeutic and it can unleash your creativity. If you are in Bali for self-discovery, healing, or just looking for an activity for a slow day, I am highly recommending this activity in your itinerary. Wow, we had an amazing morning learning how to do wood carvings. Our instructor was so kind, helpful and calm. We highly recommend Five Arts Studio.
